WE have them. I don't know why no one hasn't posted them. I'll start doing it.,
Masback thinks the splits might be off. I doubt it.
Men went really fast for 1st 10k then slowed down. 15:07-15:08-16:10
Women’s race
Mile 1: 6:24
Mile 2: 6:06 (12:30)
Mile 3: 6:09 (18:39)
5K: 19:17 (2:42 pace -- and first 5k is a big downhill). Daska and Deba Deba pushing a little bit and the pack thinning out a bit though the major players are all still there.
Mile 4: 5:51 (24:29)
Mile 5: 5:48. (30:17) Daska opening up a lead as the rain picks up.
Mile 6: 5:34 (35:51) Daska out front.
10K: 17:50 (37:07) Daska still leads. Now starting to pour during mile 7. Huddle has led the charge to catch Daska and they’re together. Daska weaving across the course to avoid breaking the wind.
Mile 7: 5:52 (41:43) Shalane and Desi talking to each other? Linden had been tucked in at the back the entire time until then.
Mile 8: 6:12 (47:55)
Mile 9: 6:23 (54:18)
15K: 56:15 (2:38 pace) Chesir leading a group of 15 or so
Mile 10: 6:20 (1:00:38)
Mile 11: 6:21 (1:06:58). STill a large group.
Flanagan had to go into portapotty.
Up in front, Daska starts pushing,
Mile 12: 6:13 (1:13:11) Daska pushing up front, six others with her, including Huddle and Kiplagat. Linden doesn’t go with it, but she and shalane gradually closing down the group. Did Shalane let her know about bathroom break? Working together?
Shalane has caught the leaders by 20k.
Mile 13: 5:50 (1:19:01)
20K: 1:15:44
HALF: 1:19:41. Daska now starting to push and has a gap of about 30 meters. Daska’s lead now up to about 60 meters during mile 14.
Men’s race
Mile 1: 4:37 (Kawauchi starts sprinting from the gun. 30-yard lead. He’s on 2:01:02 pace
Mile 2: 4:51 (9:30)
Mile 3: 5:00 (14:31) For Kawauchi
5K: 15:01 for Kawauchi, 4-second lead over the pack. The rest of the pack had been catching up to him, but then Evans Chebet makes a big push and he takes the lead and starts to pull away from everyone else but Kawauchi (who is still with him).
Mile 4: 4:57 Chebet leading. Chase pack catch Chebet by mile 5, and it’s about 10 guys up front.
Mile 5: 4:53 (24:25) Tola pushing the pace. Down to about eight guys up front -- Tola, Kirui, Lemi Berhanu, Wilson Chebet, Rupp, Desisa, and a few others.
Mile 6: 4:46 (29:12) Rupp missed his bottle at 10k water station.
10K: 30:15 (2:07:39 pace)
At 10k (30:15) we have 8 or 9 guys if you count Shadrack Biwottt who is falling off in lead pack:
Tamira Tola, Geoffrey Kirui, Galen Rupp, Lemi Berhanu, Wilson Chebet, Evans Chebet, Norbert Kigen, Lelisa Desisa (and Biwott) Kawauchi was behind them.
Mile 7: 5:01 34:13 Chasers have started to close them down, lead pack much bigger than 8.
Mile 8: 5:17 (39:30) Felix Kandie now slightly out in front but still a large pack.
Mile 9: 5:13 (44:44)
15K: 46:25
Mile 10: 5:07 (49:51) - that's 2:10:42 pace
At this rate, the men could get close to catching the women as they only started 28 minutes apart.
Commentators saying Yuki is long gone now when he is right in the lead pack???
How is Sage Canaday doing?

Abdi in 3rd?! I don't think this will turn out well for him. Act your age, old man!
I'd enjoy it immensely if "old man" Abdi would be the first American to finish.
Expert lip reader. Huddle said "holy $&$# this sucks"
"yuri is long gone from the pack...."
Yuki is in 3rd, you JACK ASS..
Does Rawson even bother reading papers. Someone fire his tatiana mcfadden love affair story.. which he tells EVERY YEAR. Take some time to do some NEW RESEARCH!!
Yuki in second place...
as for S. Canaday, there's just no way he's running 2:19 in these conditions, as much as I like him. he should drop out.
15 k :50:09
Desi is back
That's what I was thinking too. She probably said, "I'll pace you back because I'm dropping soon anyway." Guys do it in cycling all the time.

Desi waited and now she is dropping
Desi probably knows it isn't her day. She probably figured that out after the first mile. She likely told Shalane she was already struggling and that she'd lead her out and set pace for as long as she could to help bring home a win for the US of A.

They aren't training partners.
If it was Weldon, I'd do it. Should the hold field stop and hold hands? I would have cuagh tup a lot slower.
Have they hit halfway yet? WHy arne't they talking about pace?
Normally, I find Rojo too much of a skeptic, or even a cynic, but I have to agree on this one.
I actually thought he was going to agree with me on that one, so now I don't know what to think !
Kawauchi at it again. Legendary.
