Due to their greater surface area, trainers are far worse than spikes on rubberized tracks.
Racing flats would be the much better choice.

Like he ruined Oakley & Geberkidane?
I don’t know firsthand what his style is like but I do know his runners don’t usually get injured so he doesn’t seem to overtrain. However- he charges a crazy amount of money. He was very nice when we met him but when he approached us about coaching our daughter I was left speechless that anyone would pay that much at the high school level.
Dumb coach. wrote:

Far worse, huh???? lol
spikes aren't necessary or even needed for a HS 3200...
her coach is smart.

Trent Sanderson is a horrible coach. He just tries to poach top athletes off of high school coaches and claim their results. Do not ever send your kids to him. Worst coach out there, and I can't believe anyone would pay him to ruin their kid.
And tries to claim he coached athletes in high school he didn't - like Emma Coburn & the Kaltenbachs to name a few. Brie Oakley was coached primarily by her high school coaches despite him trying to butt in between them. And...anyone else notice how much he likes being seen on social media with his arm around high school girls in their workout clothes? Yeah...that's a thing.
I have been coaching a club team for about 6 years now and I would never ever approach an athlete and say they should run for me . Every athlete I have ever coached has come up to me and asked me to make them better. Any coach doing it any other way is only out for their own self aggrandizement.
He ended up convincing my best High School runner to join his training program. I noticed an immediate change once they returned to our high school training. They didn't engage as a team player and eventually walked away from the team to join Sanderson at several of his hand picked meets. Very creepy guy loves to handle the girls in an inappropriate fashion. I would say this , although his facilities and altitude training has its merits I don't think it out weighs the other negatives.
Useful bump, buddy.
So, anybody have any predictions for the 2018 Arcadia meet?
