In the marathon he is not invincible, 3rd at the Olympic marathon and second las year in Boston.
I would like to see him win, but I ain’t fooling myself like you are.

Rupp has shown that he’s in fantastic shape from his half and will only get better at the marathon as he gets more used to the training and has miles under his belt. I do think he’s the favorite, but a lot can go wrong over the marathon distance.

I am not questioning his shape, what part of “I would like him to win” you missed from my post?

Try to picture 2018 Galen Rupp charging down Boylston street and NOT winning the race. I can't even do it. It's like picturing a twelve-dimensional object.
So does the organizers. That’s why they have no pacers, and that’s why they bring a very weak elite field and pay the East Africans that they do bring nice sums to run slow. It’s a set race. Kinda like WWE wrestling

Tola, Chibet, Desisa, and Kirui can all beat him. He only has a real shot if the race is slow enough for him to be in contention around 30km+. Kirui beat him last year, Desisa has won twice, and the other two are very formidable as well.
Didn't Kirui drop Rupp in the last 10k or so? The fact is that there are 4 legit threats to Rupp in this race if they're all in shape and healthy. Don't sleep on Berhanu. I think Tola will win it though.
Rupp is in much better condition than he was last year, and even if the weather is conducive and the pace fast, I don’t see Rupp getting dropped. I’m sure he has played out the most likely scenarios and knows what he’s going to do.
If weather is warm, race will be slow obviously. I think Rupp has it dialed-in for Boston, knows the course, and is full of confidence. As long as he’s not injured, I can’t see him finishing lower than third. If they let him hang up into the hills, he’s got the speed to win.
I just cant wait to enjoy how mad yall here are gonna be when wins and runs fast, if anyone else that is isn't afraid and tries to run for second by getting away from the pack.
There's a reason guys like Kamworor won't run Boston. They know exactly what Rupp is capable of and know he would destroy them. An in-shape Rupp with ideal running temps...forget it, Rupp is unbeatable!

Rupp has heart like a chicken, lacks the miles under his legs.. will never break 209
Obviously you're a stupid troll or just plain stupid. If you'd like to place a bet on that, I'm in! Supply your email address and I'll contact you.

Holy crap! I just bought a 5 year subscription to BroTrack.
Does Rupp want it bad? I think yes.
I give him decent odds of winning, but it's no sure thing.
Nothing interesting to watch. Wake me up on the 23rd of April when a real marathon starts.
Rupp is in better shape than when he won Chicago last year. He is ready to run fast. However, who knows what the other guys in the field are going to run. On paper, they are four to five minutes ahead of Rupp, and some of those are recent times. If Tola or others close to him run to their potential and conditions are fast, Rupp could pr by three or four minutes and lose.
In this case, the odds are that he will lose but he is good enough to win this and despite the field he can win. If he doesn't win, I think he will still get 2nd or 3rd, because he is very consistent in doing so.
Rupp 2:04 - 2:05
Whatever happens, you can be sure that Rupp will be hated for it. LRC -- where your hateful dreams become reality.

You mean that 2nd rate thon that any hobbyjogger can enter and where the leaders get a fake, controlled escort for 20 miles? Oh right.
Twelve men in the race faster than him. He’s not winning.
