2:06:30 for the win.
2:07:00 for second.
2:07:30 for third.
In other words I'm just guessing, but I'm certain of one thing, the person who runs the fastest on the day will win the Boston 'thon.

When it comes to retired marathon runners the time they ran only matters in 2 situations. If they broke the W.R. , or if they never won a major.
National records hold no value? Perhaps small brain syndrome?
Well my small brain believes Jerome Drayton’s boston and Fukuoka wins are hold more value than his 2:10 Canadian national record.
He is in 2:05:45 shape.
This is actually a very good men's field for Boston. Galen probably wants the win more than ever after coming up just short a couple times in Boston. I think he'll get the win because he is sick of finishing second. But it will be a mighty task against a few of the worlds best distance runners. The cold weather probably helps Rupp, because the East Africans are not accustomed to that weather. 208:55. PS he is definitely capable of sub 205 on a faster course.

I think the predictions in this thread so far are overly optimistic.
the average of the last six winning times is 2:10:31, and the winner has run faster than 2:07:30 only three times this century, and only four times altogether.
the organisers are touting Geoffrey Kirui and Lelisa Desisa as their top elite runners. Desisa, although twice a winner at Boston, has not run faster than 2:09:17 on this course and Kirui, last year's winner, ran "only" 2:09:37. I see both of them as being past their best and they are not going to be troubling anyone going significantly under 2:10.
I think Galen Rupp will win, but it will not require him to run any faster than 2:08:32.
cheers.
I like the statistics you provided. But this field also has Tamirat Tola and Lemi Berhanu, and considering Meb ran 2:08:36, I have to believe the pace will be quicker and won in about 2:07:30. Hope it's RUPP.
2:08:59, 3rd place
Prove everyone wrong about the whole "2:09 guy" thing
DNS now, apparently
He PRs every time out.
2:09:02
bump for 24 hours until race
2:10:10
2:14:33 FTW
