This isn't hard to understand. Prize money is awarded to the top 15, which is based on gun time. So first 15 across the line are your top 15. Chip time is not even considered until after the first 15 have crossed.
Except for women, bc they have a separate start, there does not appear to be any requirement to be in the elite male field to win or collect prize money. Therefore if an amateur from corral 1 was one of the first 15 across the line, including the overall winner, he would get his prize money.
Awards for age group are based on net (chip) time.
