I agree, just doing 5-6 X 1Mile at that pace with a 400 recovery is a great workout, but 12 miles????? Hmmm, no way.

The Bauman's have been pacing Jordan and Galen - and many other Nike runners for years - they're both Master's runners with the BTC Club Team. Not sure how you would think this is a fake post? For an elite runner 15+ days out from a marathon this is not a crazy workout.
And after last year's Boston I don't know how anyone is picking against Jordan for top American? The race is 26.2. Not a 15K, not a Half. If the weather holds 2:19:xx is very feasible....

This is one of the first sensible posts in this thread. Weather and pacing are huge variables at Boston, but if all falls right, sub 2:20 is in the cards.
It is a tough workout, but is 12 miles broken up at what should be half-marathon pace for a 2:20 marathoner (although she hasn't yet run 1:06)
The post was by Ahrlin Bauman on the masters track FB group

5 X 1600-1200-1000 with 400 jogs = 5) 3800 fast + 1200 jog = 5) 5000 = 25 km
20 km fast + 5 km jog = 25 km

Nah. Repeats.
If the workout is true, left the marathon on the track..

I would have to disagree. Maybe for mere mortals like us, but athletes of this caliber can crush monster workouts - often up to just a week out from race day.

Crazy if true. How does she go from dropping out of the half marathon championships to this? How did she only have a 31-high 10k time?
I remember an interview with Salazar when he was still running world class.
They asked him why he didn't race more (other top runners raced frequently on the roads at the time).
He said he could do more in training than with a race that he trained through.
Then don't accept a position on the team or drop out with enough time to provide a replacement.

The 1ks were quite a bit faster than HM pace, but I basically agree with you. Overall, this is essentially an LT workout. It's tough because of the high volume (a lot of athletes never do so much LT in a single session), but it should something that anyone in the mid 2:20s could do.
Was thinking the samething; however, I truly hope we both are wrong. Go Jordan, Shalane, and Molly!
Kind of a dick move to pace a workout then divulge information on Facebook about the athlete's training, tbh. Can't see Salazar or Hasay being overly happy with this.

We all need to lighten up. It's not like he posted a bad workout or that she was injured. What does this information do to a competitor? Are they going to go out there and try to do the same thing today? No. It should give Jordan a bunch of confidence and let her opponents know she's fit.

She clearly knew she was being filmed. Might well be a "leak" to bolster her support for Boston. Certainly no one should count her as anything but a title contender now.
OMG! If anything she is in shape.
I'm calling bullsh*t. I've run close to her times, and there's no way I could do this workout, and certainly not this close to a peak race.
