It happens sooner or later to all of us.
It happens sooner or later to all of us.
Who is this?
What day is it?
I didn't watch it. I'm not going to watch another Sage video until he recreates his 20 pancakes 800meter time trial.
But he should quit. His best days are behind him.
This is so unbelievable. Why would a guy that is totally unhirable quit what he is currently doing? Please tell me what job is waiting for a guy like this.
April Fools, obviously

Right, obviously a joke. You can't retire from being sub elite. He makes his money because he is good at vlogging, being top 100 in the marathon in the US isnt enough to make a living. In a big money sport, the 100th best is loaded, but in running you win the occasional $1000 prize purse.

He'll qualify at Boston, guaranteed>>>Sage is the real deal.
I like Sage. Sad to see him hang em up but it's the right call. Hope he stays around the scene.

He's only retiring for a day.
Sounds like a solid plan for a real standup guy. Hate to see him go but when disc golf greatness calls you must follow your heart.
wishful thinking.
this guy will never go away.

Has he run a sub 2:19 (for all that it’s worth) since leaving Hanson’s in 2012? He made the choice to switch to ultras and you have to respect he likely did that because he decided he wasn’t fast enough to be a successful marathon runner. What’s the point of him now trying to qualify with the B standard? He won’t make it to the Olympics. If that was his goal, to make it to the Olympics, then he should have stuck to road running for the last 6 years. Trying to keep a foot in the door to qualify for the Olympic trials is not helpful and it is only dividing his training and in doing so preventing him from being as good as he could be at one or the other (ultras or road marathon). Sage needs to figure out where he wants success and focus all of his training on that, not switching back and forth.

We need a LetsRun IHOP 800 between Jamin and Sage
How does that even work? Eat a pancake every 40meter?
