Robertson brothers juiced out of their mind. What are the chances of twins running 27:30 and 60:00? Both live in kenya. Micro dosing in kenya is like buying a coke zero in america. Absolute joke

Thanks!
Not unusual for identical twins to run similar times, especially if they are training together. Borlee twins from Belgium have very similar times. In England, Toobys, Tucks and Samys come to mind as identical twins who had similar performances....
Fun daybout there. Humid coming from Santa Monica but not bad at all.
I too about ran over the 10 year old. What was with all of her sprints in the corral? Was she prepping to run to 400m?
But hope she's okay. Way too much pressure on her. And daddy didn't seem to reel her in any.

Kevin 'Questionable' Castille in 29:14.
Little 10 year old girl seen doing about 100 or so 30m sprints in and out of the crowd in the first wave came through in about 41:20 and collapsed. Hope she's okay and somebody helps her with pacing. She went through 2 in about 12:20 or so.
10 year olds running fast. Let's check back in 10 years, because she probably won't be running at all. That's the sad truth. It almost always works that way.
Hope not. Huge talent to run that as a 10 year old girl.

Flat pt to pt, not as fast as the original course which finished in Audubon Park but still fast.
Cross wind during mile 1, headwind miles 2 and 5.
The wind was negligible

Rojo I think this equals his brothers Area record for road. I wonder what he would do on track, but then again I'm slower on track than road these days, can't run around corners.

Robertson almost got Nenow's course record.
Nenow’s 27:22 was run on a course retired after 1999. It was point to point with damn near 100% separation. Finished in Audubon Park.
The event record is Sammy Kipketer’s 27:11, run on a course that hasn’t been used in a number of years, either - I believe barely within 50% separation.
The course after that was retired a few years ago and Isiah Koech ran 27:32 on it in 2013 I believe. I think barely within 50% separation there too.
The present course record was Jake’s own 27:55 from 2017; course is within 41% separation. I believe today’s run was far superior to Nenow’s because Jake himself made this race - wire to wire. From all accounts of Nenow’s epic run, Nick Rose and co played a huge role in the mass result. That’s saying nothing of the obvious differences in courses.
It was awesome.[/quote}
The race web site describes the course as "point-to-point," as does the ARRS web site, but the start and finish certainly appear to be within 50% separation, so I would think that it would be record-eligible under current IAAF and USATF standards (but not ARRS standards, which still require separation within 30%) if the net elevation loss is within 10 meters.
http://www.ccc10k.com/course-ccc10kAny update on the kid? Is she okay?
Nenow of course backed up that run with a similar time on the track. Robertson will not.

I assume "50% separation" means the finish is within 5k of the finish, measured in a straight line? I'm not sure that's the case, so correct me if I have the meaning wrong.
As for elevation, this is New Orleans we're talking about. The biggest elevation gain/loss are two 3 foot tall bridges in and near City Park. That's it. Start and finish are within a meter.
Is this race ACTUALLY 10k?!
That's insanely fast for the roads.
One more note: Jake wore 4%'s for this. I was surprised since I thought they wouldn't be good 10k shoes. He wasn't the only elite on the line with them.
This was the best weather for the classic in decades. Wind negligible, no humidity to speak of, gorgeous day. Naturally, I was injured, as I am incapable of aligning "in-shape" with "good weather".
Finished near little 10 year old. Crap, that was scary. She collapsed, nonresponsive or just too fatigued to respond to sternal rub. I've seen what I believe is a parent (coach?) being extremely pushy to her. Just gives me an uneasy feeling.
Funny thing at the awards: Castille was getting his master's award and dude near me is all, "Kenyans win EVERYTHING!" I told him Kevin was from Lafayette, nearly a local, and would not believe me. I guess all black people are Kenyans?!

Why does this matter though? Just another pathetic attempt to make this performance seem less impressive. Mark NeThen is irrelevant, plus Robertson has run 6 minutes faster than he has in the marathon.
