Newbie here and training for my first half marathon in late May. With the heat rising and me being a profuse sweater, I have started to encounter some chafing issues on the undersides of my arms where they appear to rub against the tank top (or maybe my skin?). Body glide helps but needs to be reapplied around 8-9 miles in.
I currently run in a Rhone Sentry tank and a Nike (not the miler) and am moving to a Saucony endorphin singlet (just arrived). I am wondering if having a tank where the arm holes are cut lower would help (or hurt), since I am not sure whether skin on skin is less likely to reduce chafing vs. skin on fabric?
In any event, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on favorite tanks/ singlets that seem to respond well to chafing issues in a half-marathon-ish distance.
Thanks a lot.
