There have only been 15 finishers of the race. This dude's trollin.

Hubby and I watched the the documentary on Netflix and we were intrigued, enough so that we chatted abut doing it. However, for now that is as far it has gone.
Being intrigued will not get you into the Barkley Marathons. The Barkley Fall Classic is more your speed.

If you have to ask, then this isn't the race for you.

I have heard only 15 people have finished.
So my question then is, when did you "finish" Barkley?
2019
Nobody caught this huh...
What makes you believe that you will even be accepted to race for 2019?
What other ultras have you run?
Here is a serious question, what real world skill is tested by racing up and down a hill? Actual travelers go around hills when they can.

Because I know people who know people who know people. I also have a pretty good running and hiking resume. Many self supported adventures.

A lot of times it's shorter to go up and down the hill than around it. So yeah, there's that.
What real world skill is tested by running 26.2 miles only to wind up less than 1/2 a mile from where you started? To many, that is the definition of moronic.

So it must be stupidly moronic to walk around 100 miles and finish in the exact same place huh?

I never said it wasn't ;)
What is your best ultra so far? Have you done anything difficult? I don't know, I'm not an expert, but I'm sure there are some fairly challenging ultras out there, Hardrock, UTMB, etc What are your best ultra times (50k, 50miles, 100k, 100 miles), or maybe you also did some other non-standard distances? Have you done anything multi-day, like 24hr/48hr/72hr/6 days?

Best ultra? Hard to say as they are all so different and great (and horrible..lol) in their own way.
Have I done anything difficult? Finishing Barkley is pretty difficult.
How many times a day do you humblebrag about your training runs? Do you drink IPAs on a regular basis? Do you have your own blog?

No. There a lot of people out there that can run further than me and A LOT that can run faster than me....Always remember that. I'm on the "Keto" diet, so try to avoid alcohol mostly. No blog.

Laz and I both like cigarettes.
Anyone with an attitude like #16 here has NO chance of ever finishing. Big egos tend to exit early.

Barkley doesn't do "recaps"
better make a twitter

There are actually plenty of Barkley recaps every year. I'm sure there will be some from this year's race.
Matt Mahoney has a nice collection here:
