He just completed his first 100 mile week. He is legit! The (formerly) long haired Adonis from the Midwest is going to be an NCAA champ some day. You heard that here first! Here’s a link to his LATEST video. Soren is BACK BABY!

Hey Soren, back when I ran my 25 mile circuit I did it without stopping, at all. You keep stopping to take video clips. So you didn't run 24 miles. You did a bunch of smaller runs. What, your pace varied between 7:00 minute miles and 7:43 and even a 9:00 minute mile? I did my (continuous) 25 mile runs right around 6:00 per mile. You are at altitude, will give you that though by now you're acclimated. I wasn't even a true distance guy, I was more suited to the 800m. Is your school in Division III? You remind me of that U of Oregon chick who was always posting YouTube videos.
6 x 4 miles is not a 24 mile run wrote:

Congrats bro, you’re so fast
Soren, stop making posts about yourself, it's embarrassing. Nobody cares what you're doing!
First of all, I’m not Soren. Secondly, your story sounds like a crock of sh*t. Thirdly, 0/10.

Did you just give yourself a 0/10?
I could've done that for you
First one ever in the history of LRC.
It's great to see that he's still out there running! A 100 mile week on 6 days is no joke, plus he had a day with only 8.75 miles, so the other 5 were quite good.
Not sure why there is so much hate being thrown at this guy. He makes videos about running that obviously some people like given his number of subscribers and views. If his videos aren't for you, then great, nobody is telling you to watch them. I actually really admire his work ethic and putting himself out there for criticism, it shows that he is confident with who he is. At the same time, just because he is confident with who he is and puts himself and his content out there does not justify other posters tearing him apart on the internet. He is still a college student (maybe?) and making a bunch of hate posts about him isn't going to help solve any problems in the world. Now, I know this is LetsRun, and discussions on running is the point, but calling someone an egomaniac and accusing them of riling up gossip about themselves with absolutely no proof is only detrimental.
If Soren is still training on NAU's team, it is clear that he is redshirting shown by the way that he is upping the mileage. I think he could have a bright future with them especially in the longer distances given his ability to not get injured. If he is no longer on the team, then I am impressed that he is still pounding the mileage, and just hope that he is happy and enjoying his college life.
This also is not directed at any one poster or just this thread, but is in response to the multiple other threads that have gone up about Soren recently.
Soren, if you do read LetsRun: Keep doing what you love. I also secretly hope that you are the trolls who are bashing on yourself, since that would be an unexpected twist, but I seriously doubt that is the case. I for one genuinely do enjoy your youtube videos. I also understand they take a lot of work and could make running more of a chore, thus you no longer film quite as often. Best of Luck!
P.S. I'm not Soren Knudsen.
Haters hate. Winners win.
Kid has great potential but I don’t think he knows what he wants out of running. I doubt during 100 mike weeks he has time to talk about himself on letsrun. Kid has lot of outlets and has lots of fans. Im 28 and a fan.
25 miles at 6:00 minute pace isn't fast. That's the point. Some dude running 7:45 stopping every few miles to take a video is a joke not a potential world beater. 25 @ 6:00 without stopping beats that.

I think the point he was making is that absolutely no one cares.
I didn't watch the video. Did he look relaxed?
not only was he at altitude but he also climbed like 2500 feet during the run in the middle of a 105 mile week on six days. put him on a flat course at sea level and he's rolling.
Any average joe can go out and run some hundred mile weeks. Whoop-dee-do. I'm not impressed, and his youtube videos are a cringey display of narcissistic self-love to an extreme level. Having one of your friends come out to film you run a bunch of 6:xx paced runs shirtless into the sunset?
I've read his logs and the boy thinks he trains harder than anybody else on the planet, even when he was running like, 75mpw in high school. Wake up kiddo.
I firmly disagree. If you think any joe shmo can do that, you're detached from reality.
Pick any joe shmo Kenyan who's been running around since they were a kid. They'll be able to. All humans have the potential if raised with the correct level of activity. But you're right, any Joe Shmo fat american cannot. Kenya? Japan? Give em a build up of a few years and anyone can.
When I was a freshman in college, I also went over 100 miles in a week. Nobody cared or ever would care, because my high school PR was 4:40, not 4:05.
I've seen some people troll Soren recently but nobody talks about how much talent, how much heart he has for running. He is a really good kid and super fun to watch progress over the years. Plus, I love the vLogs. I wish we had that back in the day to follow some of the top runners. Quit hating on Soren because you aren't as fast as him.
That's bait.
He must not be very smart. He won’t compete int college and probably won’t get a sponsor.
