Why is that? Can you explain what's so obvious? Is there some rule that the thread broke? Did I miss something, is this forum supposed to be curated by rojo?
Because it's f$%#ing stupid?
Well, you are f$%#ing stupid too, and you're still allowed to keep your posts on the site.

The race starts in over 8 hours.
It's so weird today in Valencia, it's sunny and really pleasant temperature, but it's soo windy at the moment, let's hope it dies down..

Will you be running it?
Rain forecast for start time.
No rain, but it will be windy. Whoever said earlier that the course is protected from the wind is wrong. Plenty of wind on the course.
Hopefully you're right. I'm getting my info. from the weather+ app which never lets me down.
Yes, i will, at a more human pace. It won't rain, it's partly cloudy right now with sun in between. It's still very windy and half of the course is exposed while the other not so much... We shall wait and see. I want to PR anyway

Good luck! :)
Apparently it will be broadcast here:
Your ignorant coach isnt just jaded, hes dead wrong. There are some low end runners who may try it, but I can assure you 98% of the top ones go there for great training in ideal conditions with quality partners.

is that the Kenyan team or is that the US?
You point out a funny point. Much of the rest of world goes to Kenya to get good. The Kenyans come to the US to get good.
Speaking of going to Kenya / Ethiopia to get good, I was talking to a pro coach who is very skeptical of drugs. HE said, "Come on. All of these guys going to the third world to get good? That's not why you go to the third world." I responded, "So why do they go there?" He said, "To do drugs."
And people want to know why we harp on drugs so much. Drugs ruin everyone's enjoyment of the sport - I mean this is a well known coach and he's just totally jaded.
Rojo has mentioned this before. I’m pretty sure the “well known coach” is Jerry Schumacher.

No it wasn't jerry s. That's all I will say.
Anyone know if the US is running 4 women.. USATF told me we'd be racing 3 but then Mike Scott sent out this tweet. Or is one of these women a coach?
https://twitter.com/urimiscott/status/977537342637531136On a unrelated note, I've never seen a tweet like this. What is the meaning behind this?
Almost as interesting as this.

She is a coach, Katie McGregor.
BBC coverage was stating it would start at 15.20 now updated to say 15.45 GMT
I can't watch this race so that means
1) Kamworor dominant win 2) Korir American record 3) Lagat masters' world record.
Good luck to everyone.

You guys complain about East Africans being anonymous faces in the crowd, but can't even identify elite American women (and former elite Katie McGregor) from a photo? That one of the few sites focused on distance running can't do this just further demonstrates elite running as a spectator sport is dead.
