Good to see Centro having a good go down under. Looked smooth and relaxed and pulled away in the last 100m. Highlight was that para athlete Jared Clifford age 19 ran 3:45 to qualify for W20 Champs. Mac Fleet 3:44!

Happy to see a fellow Marylander back and doing well.
Go UMBC??
Full results?
Congrats to Mac Fleet running a time he ran in college! Great progress for this one.
Mac Fleet has run a heckuva a lot faster than that. You have to lead a sad, pathetic existence if you do not wish for guys to realize their potential. Good to see that Centro is healthy. He's usually around 3:34-35 shape by Oxy, so this is a good start for him.

I hate to be that guy, but what exactly is Mac Fleet's potential? His outdoor PBs are now 3 or 4 years old. For whatever reason -- injuries, allergies, bad luck, lack of talent -- he seems stuck at 3:38/3:39. That is not what people expected after his back-to-back NCAA championships.
Interestingly, he's just two weeks older than GF.

He bang the girl you liked? Or did he do something else that made you feel slighted? I legitimately want to know where the hate comes from.
I don't know what his potential was, but when he was winning back to back NCAA championships, you had to think that he was capable of becoming at least a 3:32-33 guy.
Centro killed it, looked pretty smooth the whole way. After the race he spent a lot of time talking to fans taking selfies and talking about his trip down under. Centro Sr, was barking orders at him to hurry up to get his post race workout started but Centro was happy to chill
Mac is not well-liked in the elite running world. Many people laugh at how terribly he has run the last 4 years.

And yet he never came close to becoming that guy.
I agree that's it's rude to mock Fleet for running a 3:45. But I think it's rude because now, 3:45 is his potential this early in the season.
I hope I'm wrong, but...
Mac just seems a bit fat. Bigger guys tend to have sharper peaks. Hard to be good without the thyroid meds keeping you thin

We have a winner! You nailed it! Just look at this guy. He's more sumo wrestler than mid d guy:

Just curious, actually wrote:

Hopefully he got his degree and is thinking about life after running because reality sets in!
