So according to you Byrne encourages underage drinking and staying in abusive relationships, at least during the cross country and track seasons. This is good to know I guess.

This guy is angry because nobody wanted him to run for them and he wonders why.

Well it sounds as if he ran for Byrne so I guess somebody wanted him to run for them, but as for his anger, who knows where it stems from?

i'm pretty sure that person was talking about your anger Xgen...

hey man, this is my last response. i don't think you're getting it.
He was saying, "do your best to instill some consistency and stability in your life and don't change thing unless you absolutely need to. Don't break-up with your girlfriend a week before a big meet, don't buy new spikes the day before nationals, Don't move into a new apartment the weekend before conference if you can help it, etc." obviously life happens and there are exceptions...
I don't think he would have been against getting out of an abusive relationship like you declare. He definitely didn't promote underage drinking either, although he's from a part of the world where the drinking age is significantly lower and so he probably wouldn't care.
lastly, you're an absolute block-headed idiot if you can't infer these simple concepts from my posts. good luck with your future relationships and your explosive communication style.
Hey guys, relax! Mick Byrne was probably joking. It's a joke! I thought it was funny. Haha!

yeah, let's focus on the return of WVN !
He’ll be back. Maybe not world record form but I think he’ll be back in the 43s eventually. He’s still only 25 btw. Michael Johnson ran 43.18 when he was like 30.

Guess what? Nobody cares. This is about Van Neikerk, not some stupid conversation about underage drinking.
To answer the OP's question...... No. A very good percentage of athletes that have torn their ACL or Meniscus are never the same as they were. He may dip under 44 here and there but sub 43 is more than likely a dream for him and us fans. We are just going to have to wait longer for another freak of nature to come along.

I will do what I want. I would never tell Byrne not to get a divorce during the season, or not to break up with a girlfriend, and he would damn well never tell me what to do regarding a relationship. How stupid and sheeplike are you?

Tell this to Devon Allen. x2 even.
He couldn't get out of the semi's at last year's WC after a 5th place at Rio. We'll see what happens next year for the WC.

So making the WC team 8 months after your second ACL tear should be considered a disappointment? Lol.
And nevermind that he just PR'd indoors, I'm sure that sets him up for a lousy summer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Big deal: Did he medal? Huh? Well...did he?

Well...why don't we wait and see what happens this summer. Then there's the WCs next year and the Olympics in 2020. So far a disappointment for him at that level of competition.
Wade and his inner circle have decided to go for the 400/800 double at 2019 WCh and 2020 Oly. After losing in the 200 at the WC last year and losing his NR in the 200 this year, he realized his only chance to double medal was to move up. As the fastest 400 runner ever, he's planning on opening in 47.00 and coming back in 52.XX to smash the 1:40 barrier. He'll run the first 200 of his WR in lane 8 just like in his 400 WR.

Huge injury in a rugby accident. Says he's recovering well, but will he ever be near the same?
You only brought this up because someone else pointed it out in another thread.
WVN is an idiot for playing rugby while being a professional runner. I'm a fan, but he's an absolute idiot.
WTF was he thinking?

I don't know if you're pulling this 400/800 talk out of your ... . If Wade looks into racing 800m, I hope he only does secret time trials for awhile. If Wade races 800m in the 1:47 to 1:52 range in meets, he'll be referred to as a bum. Is the 800 the best event for a man with a bad knee? 800m races have the potential to be very dirty.

Dual ACL tears continue to haunt Devon Allen as he PRs over 100m.
SAD.

He is making a joke about the double.
