Yeah, there have been plenty of games entirely about track and field or about the olympics with large track and field components. My friends and I played a ton of the original Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games for wii which had like 10 different track events I think (100, 400, hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, hammer, javelin, 4X1 relay). Also, growing up I had a nes with the Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, World Class Track Meet 3 in 1 cartridge which you could play with the regular controller or by running on the power pad.
