I have taken a few unofficial visits to some big ten and sec programs and I couldn’t tell if the guys parties at all? Do they ever cut loose and be like normal college kids? Thanks

I go to a very succesful D2 school and we place better and probably party harder than any other school in our conference. There's no better feeling than coming home from a succesful meet (or even a shitty one for that matter) and boozing with your friends. Like anything else though, it can done to excess obviously.
Yes
Bro, sick
I remember Brie Felnagle getting arrested for underage drinking at UNC when the cops raided a party. She tried to outrun the cops but failed.

Normally college is for adults. No, we don't do any partying.
Not at all here at BYU... I’m guessing Air Force Academy and a few other schools (University of Utah/Southern Utah Univ.??) would be similar
Yes. As an incoming freshman I wasn't sure but, yes, yes they do. On my team most people are very smart about it, and the only crazy parties are after conference.
Just about any public university's team will have a mixture of people of who like to cut loose and those who don't, with a bent towards the culture of the team. A team with a party culture will still have a few that won't, and teams that do will have a few that won't. Culture is a big aspect of whether how much a team will party through or how much it's acceptable.
Yes they do. Mostly after conference meets. Nothing like watching a bunch of people that have been teetotaling during the season cut loose after conference. The key is to limit it to after the conference meets (that gives you three great parties after cross, indoor and outdoor).
If they are anything like the runners here, then it will be a carp party. A typical letsrunner would go up to a girl at a party, "I see you're taking sugar free gels, is that because you think you're fat, because you're not".

great thread, anyone know of any other threads like it?
is water wet?
Yes; to several different degrees. The teams that don't binge drink at all are few and far between. Probably just the highly religious schools and service academies...and a handful of really good powerhouse programs. You also have teams that are half and half- with the party side of the team and then the straight shooters. If you have a talented pack of runners, they can usually peer pressure the rest of the team out of drinking too much. And on teams where most everyone drinks, the talented recruits either get sucked in to that culture, or quit, or transfer.
Closest thing to certain truth in this thread is that every team does something at the end of conference/season.
OP: if you ask the right people the right way, I'm sure you can find out which of your prospective programs would be the best fit. Don't know how talented you are, but you might be surprised to discover that some major DI programs are just places where talent goes to die.
Also, when you go on visits, you can totally just ask a team member or two once you get to know them.

Does a bear crap in the woods?
Is the pope helping pedophiles get away with their crimes?
Yes. Most teams usually have a few parties in the beginning of the year, then they will have a dry season, then a party or few at the end of the season.
