It was the worst race I have ever witnessed. Needed someone like Mr King Ed Ches to liven it up a bit.
If they kept jogging for much longer, Usain Bolt could have entered, and blown everyone away in the last lap. This was basically an 800m race with a flying start, where everyone warmed up together for 700m. Rudisha should have entered. Even WVN would have won if they warmed up for another lap.

that's how championship races go in events long enough to become tactical. Sometimes titles are more important than times. I'd rather win a world Championship because we walked the first half of the race and I was able to race smart and be faster in the end than lose because I don't want some kid on the internet to call me a pansy. There is slow and then there is pedestrian.
1980 OG final went out in 2:05 800m and was considered slow!

Btw, the winning time for 1500m in the Finnish championships was something like 4.15 a couple of weeks ago.
