Exactly! And, our coaches, Tom Tellez and Joe Douglas, were known for their intellect. Tom's sprint mechanics model and 4 phases of the 100m is the basis of every top coach on earth to this day. And, Joe employs the ultra complicated Igloi System.

Now that's funny. Hey "Mark", do you still have a job? I know the VCs got rid of your bro. The best advice I ever got business wise was when we were considering selling the site about 10 years under the promise to continue running it. Our advisor told us, "Consider yourself fired on day 1. They own you. So make sure the money is enough."
Time to see what medal Windle ends up with (may take some DQs)!
I' totally rooting for Kszczot in this one. He deserves it.

He couldn't secure a visa in time. Pretty big pile of bullshit for an athlete in the Commonwealth. Whoever is in charge of this meet is really fucking up. Amazing how so many top contenders for gold couldn't secure a visa but a bunch of nobodies from Asian countries managed just fine.
Windle silver? What?
Windle ran a solid race.

freaking windle could have won that race! He allowed himself to get boxed in and had to
work like hell to get Silver. Had he positioned himself correctly he would have had
enough to be beat Adam.
These americans lacking indoor racing tactics.....

Rojo good job kicking ass and taking names on sissy ass trolls today!
Windle for the clutch silver! He ran such a smart race. Always seemed to be in the right spot to save energy and stay out of trouble.
Thought Windle was out when he slipped to the back but he didn't give up.
Like a lot of people, I noticed when he ran that breakthrough 1:46i in 2014 and, since the 800m is my favorite event, I've been following ever since. That same season he ran an 800 leg on Ashland's DMR at conference that took them from last to first and set up the anchor to hold on for the win over Adams State. Must have watched that a dozen times.
Congrats on the silver DW.

NO HE COULD NOT. THAT WAS A BRILLIANT TACTICAL RACE BY WINDLE.
I want to put this put up there as a perfect way to race. Are you kidding? Win? No way.
I was just about to come on here and say, "Can we please stop talking about guys losing beacause they get boxed in. He was boxed in last or next to last coming off the final turn of an indoor race and till had plenty of time to move up and get 2nd.
It was brilliant tactics. You have 1 move in an 800. HE didn't panic. He saved so much distance and more importantly by being totally content to run on the inside of the first turn of teh bell lap. Then he just ran effortless down teh backstretch, stayed on the rail on teh final turn. If he goes wide, at best he gets the bronze. But he also wasn't afriad to put his arm out to keep the fellow last place guy from coming in on him.
It really was perfect tactics from Windle. No way can he touch kszcot. In terms of fitness, he was at best the 3rd place guy in this field. But he's got the silver by being patient.

Hmm I don't know about that in terms of him ever winning. I agree that his positioning wasn't perfect though. Adam made the big move and had a big head start on Windle and the field. He looked great. I don't think Windle would have ever caught him but had his positioning been better it would have been less of a nail biter and more of a comfortable 2nd place for him. That said, I was on the edge of my seat. What a race! For no real reason I've been a huge Windle fan since the outdoor US champs last year. I like the cut of his jib.
Windle got disqualified....

He's DQ'ed. Just like half of the other contenders. This is ridiculous.
I agree with you Rojo. I wonder if there was a way for him to not get pushed behind the Brit on the final back stretch, and then not have to go out to lane 3 in the home stretch. There probably wasn't though. He ran an incredible race.
NOOO!
Of course, because it gives the Brits a medal.
