Dude, the blue jean mile world record doesn't give you the right to preach.

He has bigger problems if he's worried about what a bunch people say on a message board
Must not be tough enough to run outside . Watch the video . You can see other hobby joggers there.
Preaching to us about his preaching. Ha funny. Someone is a little sensative. Maybe a BYU fan?
Runners always want fans and people to follow the sport, but then get so upset if fans have an opinion. Be grateful anyone cares. As soon as you are out of college, no one will.

I mean the dude finished 6th at NCAA nationals this year and was 12th last year, he's legit. I seriously don't understand why people here have nothing better to do than rag on other runners who are almost certainly far better than any of you.

You tell 'em Dill!
Has anyone really ragged on him?
Don't mind the semi-intelligent opinions. It is the idiotic ones we can do without. Anybody offended by a couple word Instagram is well...thin-skinned

You’re right, he is better than almost all of us. But in the grand scheme of the world, 6th at XC NCAA nationals doesn’t mean anything. And based on his PRs he wont make any money professionally. In fact if Letsrun had a race off for its posters tomorrow, he wouldn’t finish in the top 10. So acting like you’re a superstar puts a target on your back.

The only threads (besides this one) I've found about him were posted by me.
One sharing an article on flo-track that is hardly ragging on him.
The other was wondering if the DMR is weak because USU has the second best seed. I didn't intend that to be ragging though...
As a USU fan, I'm proud of what USU distance has accomplished, considering everything. But I am also realistic in that USU is not a powerhouse. Perhaps I should have been more clear in that I was pleasantly surprised.
Oh well...it sounds like it got a bur under his saddle and if that means a great performance, then awesome!

Probably. It can be so easy to get under their skins.

That's what I was thinking. The first time I had ever seen his name was during the XC prediction contest.
I’m for some reason not at all surprised y’all here can’t take a joke
I believe his accurate name is not Dillon Maggard but rather "Dirty Dill"

So you are the bad egg that had him postal against all of use . Thanks
He is a Mormon who couldn’t get in BYU, has long hair and an arm sleeve of tats. He wants people to rag on him, it’s validation.

If that's postal, it's a good thing he's not running the 800m, as that requires pure hate.

Bad logic. Of course it means something. That’s something not many will achieve. That’s like saying whenever someone accomplished something great, there was always people who did it better so it is invalidated.
Looks like he's dropping out the 5k to focus on DMR and 3k.
