So someone that goes to my school recently told me he ran "mid-7's for the 100m" and I called him out on it pretty quick.
What's the most blatant lie you have been told?

That Dems care about minorities.
I read a book once that claimed time didn't exist.
Bernie Sanders was burned by Hillary?
Bob Parsley, a wise sage, told me that Rosemary told him that she'd run a 1500m thyme of 3:58. I think he was smoking herbs, maaaaan...'cuz Rosemary has only run 3:59.13. What a tall tall teller, that Parsley character!
Speaking of thyme, Joe DiMaggio once disappeared from our training group in Michigan during our Chicago Marathon training. When he finally phoned, I asked him, "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?" His reply: "Michigan seems like a dream to me now. It took me FOUR DAYS to run from Saginaw. I've gone to look for America."
Sheesh! He was looking for poontang with Marilyn Monroe.
Blatant liars! Does this answer your question?
By the way, I ran a 3:27 mile, uphill, into the wind, in snow and ice, in Boston. Rosie Ruiz bested me that day by the diameter of a grapefruit-sized tumor, but I only remember her with fresh legs in the closing sprint. Jacqueline Gareau was a distant third.
The Jill Greathouse debacle
Maybe it doesn't qualify as a lie--that implies an *intent* to deceive--but the most blatant *falsehood* that I've been told about time is that there was something "before" the universe.
Time, like height/width/depth, is a dimension of the universe itself. Just as there can be no "outside" of the universe, so there was no "before" the universe. Each is a literally meaningless concept.
There has never been a time when our universe did not exist.
I would buy you some art, a Picasso or a Garfunkel.
7 day Creation and 6000 year old Earth.
Meatloaf once swore he’d love me tlll the end of time. Prick.
I knew a guy with a 37+ 10K PR who claimed to have run a 1:17 half marathon. His pace for the half was faster than his 10K pace! I called him on it and he said, "They called it a half marathon and I'm taking it." Not actually a lie, but...
Time doesn't exist. It's just a measurement.

Technically it was a SIX-day creation.
In a college a short stocky white dude with a beer gut claimed to have run 10.2 for 100m. Not only was that faster than the all time state hs record for our state, it was also faster than the record for the college we were at. I said I was impressed and asked him why he wasn't running for our college. He said he got injured his senior year and start drinking a lot and put on weight and lost motivation. I then said that 10.2 would be among the fastest times in the nation for high schoolers and that surely you must have won state titles and gotten some scholarship offers. He then realized I knew what I talking about and changed the subject. I looked him up online and the best time I could find for him was 11.6.

Yes, and "Genesis" also has a one-day creation story. There are other creation stories in the Hebrew Bible as well as in the Christian New Testament. The beginning of the Gospel of John (John 1:1) to the Wedding at Cana (John 2:12) can be understood as another seven-day creation story with Jesus and Mary functioning as the New Adam and the New Eve.

Whenever I create something I count the day when I admire my handiwork in the total hours billed.
Tim Fergerson's 3:52 mile in training
I feel bad because the commentators were roasting him the whole time. Would be incredible if he really did run a 3:52 in practice, guess well never know.
