Fvck Gregson can drop the hammer
I got 54.0s last lap but he was in a bad position for much of that lap.
Fast enough to make up for that rough positioning.
I love how the athlete display show the Australian provinces (?) each athlete is from. Do broadcasts in the US do that for states? I can't remember, if not they totally should, with state flags and all.
Thrilled that we can watch videos from other countries' championships and not our own!

Well, yes, to a point. Nothing blinding about his acceleration - it wasn't Ovett like in its fierceness.
Also he was very badly positioned for most of the last 500m; if he had been in a championship final, against runners of roughly the same ability as himself he would never have been able to put himself in a position to make his final kick.
Terrible positioning. If that happened against any Kenyans he wouldn't be in the medals

Those poor backwards sods haven't figured out the paywall yet.
Morgan McDonald smoked it in the five!

tough with 50 states. I don't know the state flags of probably 40 of those 50 states.

They're states in Australia, too. You Americans aren't all that special
Where are all the Kenyan-Australians? Doesn't Australia have an Army?

exactly. He's only coming back from that at 12 seconds slower than world class.
