this from the guy who thought you should vote for george bush because he was a swell guy and they were neighbors.
Is that why the dope is a nitwit Republican? Because of his clueless neighbor?
That figures.

Apparently being an Olympian doesn't mean that you are among the best in your sport either.

Geesh! This guy went harder on her than anyone went on David Torrence or Alexi Pappas.
Don't hate the player, hate the game. At least Deadspin wrote an article instead of a grumpy hot take.

They could have broke the tie with a snowball fight. First one that gets hit in the testicals gets silver.
It makes no sense to go to the thousandths of a second to distinguish bobsleds when the course speed is itself changing with every run so that no two bobsleds get exact parity on the course.
Rojo and Wejo probably have a higher IQ than most of the posters on let's run. They are not retarded which is insulting to the disabled.
As far as a tie is concerned, both parties are happy with the outcome and it doesn't happen often. A run off would have been cool in my opinion.

Torrence and Pappas were actually somewhat good.
And in reply to Rojo, please consult the dictionary to find out the meaning of "Everyone"
What's the problem with a very occasional tie?
If both of you have given your all, and come out equal, why should judges go to extra lengths to deny someone gold?
High Jump has ties. In the all-time classic test of the jump-off rules, two boys at the English Schools in 2015 went up, up, up, both failed and went out, then went up-down-up-down matching each other, until they finally shook hands, went over to the judge and retired simultaneously as champions. Ties for minor places happen all the time.
And if two people can't break each other in a marathon and are still together with 10 yards to go, give each other a good hard look, hold hands and go through together*, wouldn't it be a bit churlish for a judge to separate them?
* Beardsley/Simonsen, London 1981, for you youngsters.

Lots of people did criticize them for abusing the nationality rules. However, at least they didn't completely embarrass the countries they pretended to be from!

Hardly. A snowboarder just won the Super G gold.

Here's the real question. Almost all the snowboard events are now being done by trick skiers too, and the skiers are better at all of them. The snowboarders go slower, they fall over half the time, and they don't get as much air. Their freestyle aerial event is especially a joke compared to the skiers. In the slopestyle and half pipe the skiers land backwards easily.
So the real question is, what is snowboarding still doing in the olympics? It has been proven inferior.
On a snowboard? Or on skis?
Skis are clearly superior as a means of both traveling fast and doing tricks and jumping on snow. Get rid of the snowboards.

Is anyone watching this on tape delay on NBC. I can't believe everyone just celebrated when they tied for gold. Isn't the point of sport to beat everyone else?
I think it would be incredible tv is they had them do a runoff like Felix - Tarmoh.
Your trolling has great depth.
1) track and field can award two golds for a tie and has done it
2) Felix and Tarmoh didn't tie for first, they tied tied for the third and final qualifying spot
3) Felix and Tarmoh never even did a runoff. Tarmoh conceded the spot to Felix

I think the lack of sleep because of the new baby must be getting to him. Even by Rojo standards this was poor trolling.
But in short track speed skating they go the thousandth I can't believe in bobsled they don't.

When will the madness end? At the very least, we should march on Washington, Rojo

As others have pointed out, the course itself changes in speed slightly over the course of a few runs, so they had to choose a cutoff precision level for the timing that hopefully minimizes that.
