Lol racewalk
How is the racewalk, for a spectator's perspective?

Why are they not showing the 400m?

Remember, this is their own choice, now pressure at all. A feminist symbol!
Working STREAM:

You are a god!
Really NBC? You can show hurdles semi finals but not the first section of the 400m final?
It is unbelievable that year after year after year after year the coverage is atrociously bad.
It's on the other stream! The ad-free is field events it seems. Swap over before the 800. :)
The 2 section 400 final is so stupid. In my opinion, it should be a 4 person final. Only those running in the final can medal. Isn't that what they do at Worlds? Or do they have 2 sections.
So disappointing Kerly isn't going. He's the future.
Pretty bad tactics by Kerley. He got unlucky in about 3 ways however.
1) two section final
2) going out passively and everyone else going to the well the first 200m
3) getting clipped
I would love to coach Kaela Edwards. To me she runs with a lot of passion. But it's clear to me she wastes a ton of energy. She's always making a big move to be right near the lead at the bell of every race. That's not the way it works. This isn't HS. She needs to conserve energy. YOu've got one move in an 800. Wait until the last 200 to use it. Almost always.

This is one time out of ten I agree with rojo ;)
She more of a 8/15 runner, so she needs to position early, but not so suddenly, just move up the whole last 400.
Brazier just missed the 800m indoor AR when he let up... what a dumb thing to do. Probably will cost him money.
Why did Brazier let up?
Brazier why do you always ease up when running a PB?! May have been able to get the NR

He looked like a man among boys in that race. Wow.
in the interview, he said it was frustrating to be so close. But you're right, he totally let up the last 20m or so.

I don't think he let up. I thought that when I watched it live but have watched several replays. He leaned at the tape.
I think it just looks like that as he's such a smooth runner. When a guy with awesome form isn't flailing his arms - people always think they aren't digging deep whether it's Centro, Brazier, etc.
We'll ask him.
That was an insane finish by Windle!
Brazier could have broken American record, not sure if he ran out of gas or let up.
Those two guys should do a rabbited race next weekend or right after worlds to chase the American record.
Brazier crushed it. I don't think he let up. They said so on NBCSN but I just think he was tired and lost a gear. He leaned at the finish which isn't something people letting up do.
Windle is a huge talent and that's a decent way to make teams but it likely won't win the race vs studs.

even if it had been a 1 section final, kerley wouldnt have made it because he ran like a novice and has nobody to blame but himself.

I think he thought he has the AR in the bag and let up but realized at the end that it was close and did the lean. I'll be interested to hear an interview asking him straight out if he let up or not.
