despite having only a 1:48.81 SB he'll will take the 800 by leading the race from the start

Not a chance. Guys like Brazier, Murphy, and Windle have too much speed for Leo to be able to hold on if he takes it out fast. I could see Leo stealing it over the last 150 in a kicker's race, but even if he takes it out in 50.0 I think the younger guys could still hit like 55 which I don't see Leo doing at this point.

This is more ridiculous than the OP’s trolling. Leo hasn’t run a decent race in the last couple years. He hasn’t been consistently decent in at least 3 years. Maybe even longer now. There is no scenario in which Leo would not be destroyed by any half-respectable field.
why the 800?

That is the reason you think this post is ridiculous?
How about the fact that he says that Leo can't win in a fast race, because he lacks the speed. But then he says he might be able to win if it comes down to a slow pace and a kickers race. The problem is that a kickers race favors the guy with more speed...
DFL !
“It’s kind of frustrating,” Manzano told Race Weekly To Be Fit in an interview here today. " I think some people don’t take me as seriously as they should. I just want this year to be proving that last year wasn’t just a fluke. I’m an elite 800 runner in the United States; people should be worried about me in every championship.”

Fake news
That is a very strange question. Manzano wouldn’t even get into NCAAs with that time, and probably wouldn’t if he ran a full second faster.

Murphy's training is geared for outdoors. He won't run much better than Leo. Outdoors will be a different story. He's going to clobber the AR in the 800 and will possibly run faster than Centro over the 1500/mile this summer as well, which he will certainly be doing by 2018.

So LM not being resigned by Nike after that silver medal is looking like it was the right choice.

Perhaps if Nike had resigned him, he would have have the support needed to stay on top.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Nike has given a lot of people a lot of support and that often goes to some amount of waste. Will Leer comes to mind as do a number of other athletes who failed to stick to the top pnce they over played their hand in contract negotiations with Nike.
Ran a solid time for a high schooler!

Thread was picked for listing in the "On The Boards" section of the front page.
His SB of 1:48.81 was better than a one of the heat winners time
Leo keeps proving that he should have hung up the spikes a long time ago.
