Background: am in college. Get 8.5 hrs of sleep every night M-Th. Then get 4-6 on Friday and Saturday night. I wake up at 9 on Sundays then crash around 1 or 2. I wake up between 6 and 8 and then do homework for 2-3 hours then do random chores then go to bed around midnight.
Is this bad? I’ve heard long naps are unhealthy but I always feel so good afterwards. My schedule doesn’t permit me to sleep in on Saturday or Sunday and I like to not be socially dead so this is how I survive.
I also sleep pretty well on Sunday nights despite the weird midday nap. I think that I finally get caught up on sleep by the end of the weird nap, so I’m not operating on a sleep surplus.
Convince me that I’m harming my running and my health.
