Been noticing she's not wearing Nike in her recent instagram posts, and have been seeing a lot of Champion.
Any news she's got a new sponsor?

She made the decision to represent Greece. There are consequences.
You wouldn't think a world class filmmaker, poet, and writer would need to rely on an athletic sponsor.
When I hear her name I can't help but remember the poem Malmo wrote awhile back. It's at the bottom of page 3 of this thread

Editor's note: Here is what we think he is referring to:
I've always wanted to be a leave,
but leaves are not like people.
Leaves change,
but people don't.
Well, some people change,
but not like leaves.
Leaves fall, in the fall,
which is also called autumn.
People fall sometimes,
but not like leaves.
When people fall they get up.
Leaves don't get up,
not like people.
They just lie there, like leaves.
And just die there, we bereave.
Just like celebrities, in threes.
Some people are called Autumn,
but not leaves.
Leaves are called leaves.
Most people called Autumn are strippers,
whose panties fall down, like leaves,
leaving them bare, like trees,
in autumn.
My appreciation for malmo has drastically increased.

So Nike sells no shoes in Greece?
Their sales are worldwide, you know.
She is not a pro runner and she is not funny anymore!
I don't understand why anyone gives this girl a platform. She isn't even that good. She just calls people "bravies," and acts like a child
She is sponsored by Zappos

They might, but no one in Greece cares about her
And she lives here.
When Nike signed her she was not running for Greece. She changed the game and Nike did not like the change.

No, in Greece they build statues for the goddess of Nike!
Damn, here we go again. Heaping on any of our few, very few, T and F athletes with a modicum of personality. I suppose you all were huge fans of Pete Sampras when he was dominating tennis.
Man...people are hating on Pappas hard. She's quite different but she seems to have a positive influence on young runners. Why all the hate?

It must suck only being the 34th fastest in the world in 2016:

In an event 99% of African runners don't care about.
She got lapped twice.
Twice.

Because the runners are jealous they can't be moderately successful at multiple disciplines like Alexi Pappas. Because you have to admit that she has been moderately successful at multiple disciplines, even if she isn't the fastest or her creative works are not the best.

She called herself "world class" at both running and filmmaking so she will be judged by that standard.
Her short videos about running weren't moderately good, they were cringeworthy and bad. Her NYT articles were embarrassing. Abusing government connections to get citizenship to a country she's never been to for the purpose of getting into the Olympics she couldn't otherwise qualify for smacks of corrupt elitist privilege. She IS very successful, however she is highly overrated and doesn't deserve our praise.
