Julien Wanders went 60:09 at Barcelona today, taking second and grabbing the Suisse and Euro U23 record.
A few days ago, in the thread on the Robertsons, Coach Canova wrote:
“Their improvement, such as the improvement of Sondre Moen and Julien Wanders (remember this name), are in great percentage due to their choice to live the most part of time in altitude, and in Kenya.”
Renato, can you give us a little background on Julien? Is he training with you? When did he come to Kenya, and what changes has he made in training and preparation?
As always, thanks for your insights here

As soon as I saw Renato's post I wondered how many people were going to go out and bet a ton of money on the guy. Congratulations to Julien, what a fast time!

Going to resurrect this from last year!
Canova calling it out before Wanders did anything: “remember that name” -
Would be really curious to hear anything about Wanders’ training. It sounds like he works with the same coach he’s worked with since his teens.
Robertson thread where Canova first mentioned him:

There is a Robertson video from years ago where they are driving the van to a fartlek workout, and little Julien looks about 15 years old on the backseat. He's introduced as "young blood" by one of the twins. Kid has made impressive strides with total commitment.
