Made it look easy like he was screwing off on the last lap. That kid must be doped to the gills on the Oregon Project bath salts.

I still don't get why he wouldn't have run the 1500 on national tv at the NBIGP tonight.
If the answer is the track is faster, it's not 2 seconds faster which is what you have to do in the mile vs 1500. -
If Engels had pacers like Cheserek did yesterday, I think he would have been below 3:50 as well, especially since he wasn't pushing it the last lap!
-
Unbelievable! Looked like a thoroughbred out there. His potential is endless. Sky is the limit! Go Engels!
-
Lol he had two pacers and a hotel room filled with bath salts!
-
Damn, better than Ches? wrote:

Are you drinking on a Saturday? Or at a bar crawl?
He raced Cheserek last week when Cheserek ran 3:54 and couldn't stay with him. It amazes you think that because someone looked great running 3:54 flat that they could break 3:50. No. -
Big deal. I've seen a high school kid run that fast.
-
He did break 3:54?
-
He really did look unbelievable though. He pulled away effortlessly on the last lap.
I agree with Rojo. I have no idea why he ran at BU. I was confused when I first saw him. Kid's got the talent and athletic ability. He's got decent racing chops too, but I'd think he'd want as much pro racing experience as possible. -

Isn't Saturday the day when people drink? -
Anybody have full results of Heat 1?
-
Camera set up at 1500.
-
Correct on the 1500 camera. And they had really good pacing for Engels through 1k. Makes perfect sense for them to run BU. It’s a much faster track than Reggie’s Lewis. They can control the race and Engels had a better chance at standard at BU.
NOP does a better job than just about anyone controlling the things they can. Engels and Julian made the right call. -
Seriously, wtf is bath salt doping? Ive heard a ton of stuff on here but taking epson salt baths is like a well known thing and not doping.

Salazar is known for hiding his runners from great competition. That's why. -

In fairness to Engels, he trained straight through when he raced Ches and Ches was rested. But you probably already know that. The flip side is that Engels probably wouldn't have run sub 3:50 against Ches Friday, but Engels is several years younger than Ches as well - all the PC crybabies will start their moaning but Ches is 27. Hah.
