She is gonna improve a lot’ suspect she will go sub 15 this year if she tries.
She was also a D1 swimmer so she got recruited by USAT to join a development program for triathlon.
She is also a CPA so she is smarter than 99.9% of the people she runs against.
Maybe to have her Asics contract expired?
Her physique looks good in track mode! Seriously, something runnerishly stronger (advantage) in her form profile. Looking forward to more great results!
Gwen does not have a Nike contract and therefore can't be a team member on BTC. Maybe in the future.
Some of the gear she was wearing was Asics.

Slow.... C rated africans can run that in their sleep. Nope, she said that she is going after world gold, so she is being held to that standard.
You're making yourself look like an idiot. This is a solid result, 6 months after giving birth, and it's February. Ever heard of something called a 'progression'?
It also appears that, per Gwen’s Twitter, Infeld was unofficially pacing her.

That tweet does not say that Infeld was pacing her dude.
I didn’t say that it did. I just commented that it gave that impression. Do you people even read?
Infeld has run much faster indoors so not entirely out of question.

“It also appears that... Infeld was unofficially pacing her.”
No, it doesn’t appear as that. Do YOU even read/comprehend?
Dude, all that is saying is that Infeld was a competitor that pulled her to a fast time.
Come on, a CPA? Big deal... all you do is memorize rules and spreadsheets, plus you can reference your books. #over-rated
She also shot 82 at Pebble Beach. Not too shabby for an occasional golfer.

Isn't the marathon more lucrative?
I saw the race and it appeared to take Jorgensen a few laps to find her rhythm as she was a little behind Infield and Frerichs before she caught up. I have no doubt she'll be competitive at the marathon level, but how competitive?
I'm curious as to if she is doing or how much cycling and swimming she is still doing as part of her standard training. that could be the secret to her success.
My only question was how she swam so well with such skinny arms?

True, which means more depth and more difficulty making the marathon team. She’ll probably try both, but the odds are greater to make the 5K/10K team.

This article implies she's still swimming or cycling daily until she can get her running volume up to marathon training levels.
https://www.flotrack.org/articles/6102713-we-talked-to-gwen-jorgensen-before-her-first-track-race-in-nine-yearsI watched the race as well. What I found most interesting was when Infeld picked up the pace over the last 1500m or so, Gwen got gapped as you'd expect. I sort of assumed she'd let Infeld go, bag a nice PR and call it a success. But she absolutely battled over the last couple of laps and swung out wide down the homestretch to try and win, which she almost did. Having been a more casual observer of her in the past I didn't realize how mentally competitive she is. I have no idea where this leads of course when talking about the OG's in 2020. But if I'm Vegas and I'm taking odds of her winning gold it would have been 100/1 before the race last night and probably 75/1 now.
