Has anyone in the history of the world ever broken 4:00 in the mile with a shorter longest run than Donavan Brazier?

Mike Boit never ran more than 4 miles?

Well, he did one day in March of 1982 in Eugene, 'cause he won a low-key 10K I ran in.

Also, I'm pretty sure Boit ran XC when he went to college in the US.

I'm too lazy to look up his college... was it Eastern New Mexico?

Strangely, Jamin is the most accurate poster here. The guy has run 1:43 for 800m and he is a professional athlete. His problem is, due to his low mileage, his ability to change up his pace in a tactical world championship race, running negative splits.

Well I always believed that too but someone put an interview of him on here a couple weeks ago (check the archives for 2-3 weeks ago) and Coe says that he used to do 100mpw but now only does 40mpw etc. I'm always skeptical of anyone's claimed mileage. (You live closer to BP than me ?).

She ran a pedestrian 2:32 in that Marathon. Although it was the world record at the time. She went on to run much faster when she ran long. But I'm glad that takes the cake for you.
