Chepkoech's time is not surprising since she has a 4:03 outodoors which I think she ran in Kenya 2 years ago. This girl can go sub 4 before this season is over and can run outdoors in the region of 3:57 - 3:58 Only Kenyan faster than her in this event is Faith Kipyegon. Maybe she should double (steeple and 1500m) in 2019 worlds championships.
Women’s 1500m is a loaded event and the steeple is a competitive event too . However I do think she should try doubling at the Commenwealth and African championships. Doha is too far away and I think it’s better to try and get 1 gold instead of 2 silvers/bronzes.
Totally agree. Especially with the entry of Semenya in 1500m things about to get nasty lol! Chepkoech needs to concentrate with steeples where she got her hands full with Chespol, Ruth Jebet, Emma Coburn, Kiyeng and Norah Tanui and occasionally jump into 1500m to aid with her speed.
