Update:
Won the mile, lost the 800. There ended up only being a 30 minute gap between the events, so the second one didn't feel great. Mile was a sit and kick, because a lot of us were also in the 800 and hoping to score some points there. The flu didn't seem to do much, got over it in 5 days with the help of tamiflu and didn't run for another two before practicing again. Thanks for the mostly helpful advice.
