I drive a manual.
Convertible, with a tiny windscreen. I use goggles to keep the wind out of my eyes, and my long scarf adds a dashing flair.

Why are people running?
Did they never see the invention of vehicles?
My father-in-law leased a prototype (?) electric Smart for two, and what a car it was. MUCH better than the internal combustion version he got when the lease expired. The range was around 100 km or so, which is pretty amazing considering the size of the car and the fact that he was driving up and down the Black Forest to go to work.
I live in a high crime area and park on the street, but most idiot criminals can't drive a stick. So I have one for security.

They are fun to drive and it's nice to control just when to hit the next gear and use the clutch to hold in neutral between gears.
It's sad that so many car models are getting rid of the manual option.
I don't think Lexus has any manual cars.
Next thing you know you won't even have to steer most cars.
No fun.
Absolutely!

Bought a Porsche Cayman in 2016. Finding a stick was more difficult than I imagined. Thought it odd not to have a manual on a sports car.
I bought a used 2015 Cayman last year. I couldn’t find a stick, but manual shifting is an option.
Stick is a man’s car. And if you own a Cayman you better stay nimble to get in and out.
I have~150,000 miles in my manual transmission car. I also drive my girlfriend's automatic often. To be they are simply cars. Anyone going on and on about the subtle differences is pretentious.

Manuals are fun for awhile but once you grow up & hit lets say 30 y/o, then it's time to realize you're not a race car driver. Manuals are too much work anyways & why do something a machine can do 10x better than any human? Now that the gas mileage difference is pretty much gone I can't see the benefit. I'd rather sit back & enjoy the ride.
This^
Manuals are for high school kids. Or maybe college kids when they buy their first Mazda 3 & want to rev the heck out of it in an attempt to impress a shallow girl.
Also, I was once one of those kids.

Do they not know that automatic cars exist? What am I missing?
Because retrofitting a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 with an automatic transmission would be a crime.
Tips and advice for anyone looking to pass their driving test in a manual car
Manual is the only proper way to drive a car.
The 2020 mid engine Corvette is not available with a manual transmission.
German cars sold in the US do not come in a manual unless you special order it.
There are some low end cars sold new with a stick.
I’m looking for a new car now and can’t find one I like with a stick shift.
The days of manual transmissions are pretty much done.
Volkswagen still sells some cars with manual shifts/
Manual shift, IMO is safer. Manual shift keeps me more interactive. I find driving at or near speed limit extremely boring unless I am driving a manual shift. Sad to say, I have not owned a manual shift vehicle in 13 years.

You get a good heads up when a manual transmission is starting to have problems, where an automatic can just conk out on you.
You can usually drive around a clutch problem well enough to get home.
You have far greater control. I hate the way automatics just freewheel into a bend, so you rely on the brake, where with an manual you get engine breaking.

You gotta join the modern world eventually

You're going to be a stick shift virgin the rest of your life.
I bought a 2018 Honda Civic with a manual. I bought the lx model. The manual in that is not as fun as my previous Honda Fit. I test drove a civic manual with a turbo engine and it was a lot of fun
