Okay lets say when Galen Rupp was in his track prime, 2011-2015, and the army guys are in there current level, who would be better?
I personally think Rupp is much better than the army guys.

Rupp was consistently in the top 5 or so 10,000m for years, has a silver medal, and a very fast PR for what that's worth. Korir is very good, but he's not quite that good.
10k Rupp, 5k Chelimo
I'm not sure why you guys worship Rupp. TUE.

Saying you think he would win isn't the same as worshipping him. I think Trump isnt going to be impeached, but I sure dont worship him or even support him at all.

I’m not sure why people like you continue with the Rupp TUE lie. It came out that he has had two TUEs in his career. So why do you say things like this?
Rupp has the 10k AR and a 60 + change from an NYC half ( I believe he fell at the start too). Korir has the sub 60 half, so I think it would come down to tactics, which would favor Rupp in my opinion.
Rupp vs Chelimo: I’d choose Chelimo, aside from the short indoor period where Rupp ran 3:50 for the mile and the AR for the mile.... I don’t recall a 5k were he really knocked it out of the park except for maybe the one time he beat Lagat at the trials
Meant to refer to the AR for the 2 mile, not the mile
The better questions about Rupp are whether Salazar used topical testosterone in private massages (we know Salazar gave him private massages, that Salazar owns topical testosterone, and that Salazar researched how much topical testosterone was needed to trigger a positive test) or gave him incorrectly documented IV supplementation (like he did with Ritz and who knows who else).
So do you cheer for the imported athletes or the suspect doper? It's hard to get too excited about these top results.
Meanwhile I'll give a thumbs up to Will Christian in 31st place, who was born and bred in the USA and ran for the Navy. There are plenty of runners out there to cheer for even if you aren't drawn to be a fan of the top few.
Dude you couldnt be more wrong. Rupp has abused the tue system grandly he has always had more than 2 of them, in fact at one point he had double digits worth. I would never want to see a cheater like him win and I surely wouldn't want to share a start line with him. He doesn't respect his competitors nor the sport with the level of cheating he takes part in. Please show this proof that he only ever had 2?? Plenty of documentation that has been revealed about him having way more than 2 since he was a junior athlete

Shoebacca, tells about your military service.

Has he been convicted? No? The system is cut clear: innocent until proven guilty by an applicable authority. That Makes your opinion and likeminded people, as good as used toilet paper. You don’t like that? Move to Cuba or North Korea.
I must say, on the marathon level he is full of crap. Scared to really blaze.
However, on the track, Dude is sub 13 in the 5000m and sub 27 in the 10000m. None of the army guys can say that.
RUPP all the way.

Rupp is kind of a cagey marathoner, more so than other distances. If he doesn't have to go all out from the gun he won't, see Chicago. Although this style was always present, how many 10000 champs did he win by sitting on then jacking up the pace later to finish alone.
He is also not afraid to go for times, it is just a secondary concern. Rupp probably falls into the camp that wins are better than dropping 2:04 for 8th place. I would agree.
To address the original point, Korir, Chelimo, et al do not even have comparable careers to Rupp. Korir and Rupp are both 31, with Rupp having accomplishmished much, much more. Chelimo is younger, but when Rupp was his age he had done everything Chelimo has and more (records, faster times, better NCAA, US champs, etc). WCAP do well but do not hold a candle to Rupp, even if you consider the whole of WCAP as one entity, Rupp still wins.
This is only somewhat relevant and has been said before but I feel it is worth repeating. I don't have a huge problem with WCAP converting foreign athletes to US citizens, especially if the athlete has gone through the US education system (high school, NCAA). And I would call myself a fan of Korir, anyone who races cross is a winner in my book. But this quote by Chelimo offended me immensely and continues to bother me:
“Now the U.S. won’t be embarrassed, we won’t be lapped anymore, we don’t need people who quit when it gets hard.”
I recognize that Chelimo and the WCAP could not care less about my opinions of them, but I really cannot get excited about Chelimo's performance after they've said something like this. Likely this quote represents a larger part of Chelimo's ideology, and possibly the ideology of other WCAP runners or the program itself. I do not wish Chelimo, or anyone else with this view, success; even going so far as to say I would rather they fail. I am not proud of these negative sentiments but I cannot ignore them, although certainly everyone else will.

That's not how having a conversation works. If someone disagrees with you they don't need to go to a different country. What are we five?
It's hard to be a fan of Rupp with what is floating around out there about him. Yes, he is innocent until proven guilty but that doesn't mean everyone on here has to love him or move someplace else if they don't agree. For some, it's easier to find an athlete who has never been brought up in doping allegations who talks about making T&F a clean sport.
After meeting Chelimo on several occasions and even getting to do a training run with him, he is the nicest guy. I highly doubt he meant anything offensive from that quote, he probably saw it as he was genuinely helping the U.S. not putting down the other American athletes.
How on Earth could you take that to mean he wasn't putting down other Americans?

Please link said documentation. I’ve certainly never seen or heard of it.

Two TUEs is still TUEs. That being said, the extent that people seemed to think he abused TUEs on this board was wildly exaggerated. Even moreso given that the reveal that he used two TUEs came from a group doing everything they could to make non-Russian athletes look as bad as possible.
