On the home stretch of my 1 miler (at a park) I sprinted the last 100m. When I got done a girl told me that was the fastest she had seen anyone run.

I seem to have an ability to accidentally kidnap loose, friendly dogs. They seem overjoyed to have a human to run with. Owners get pretty pissed off though. I guess the best compliment is non-verbal & non-human.
aint nobody really compliment me, just people be honkin their horns at me all the time or hollarin out they windows, most the time its hard to hear what they be sayin cuz im listenin to my headphones tho.
Nice legs.
Are you losing weight? You look sick.

Many years ago, while living in Chicago, I was trudging through one of my regular routes during a heavy snowfall. As I passed a bus stop, I heard someone tell his companion: "See -- I told you so. Now pay up!"
That is actually pretty great. You were clearly a fixture :-)
This one woman passing me on a bike told me I had “killer calves.”
Was run commuting home one evening and this black woman said “Oooo, look at them legs!”

When I was racing a marathon and passing groups of people running the half (same start time out n back), I got a lot of compliments from them, and sometimes jeers. One person said "amazing, that is what perfect running form looks like. that stride is beautiful." which made me feel really good.
it's interesting how we can be totally suffering internally as distance runners, yet still look totally composed/relaxed.
“Yea, get it, man!”
Random guy on the street when I run on the street in the worst winter
weather. Really appreciate that, I don’t even get that kind of encouragement from fellow runners.
Also, a lot of the older runners tell good job it good pace when I’m in my tempo runs.

1) I'm doing 300# quad presses at the gym and an afro-american lady on the next apparatus over said loud enough for others to hear that I had the prettiest legs she'd ever seen; the word "pretty" was kinda embarassing.
"Pretty" isn't embarrassing from a Afro-American. Muhammad Ali was pretty. Bruno Mars kissed himself because he was so pretty.
After a 5K "my money was on you to win." I didn't but I'm glad I "looked" like I should win.

Can't say I've ever seen a dog not love to run unless sick or too old. They can run free at our beach at times and they are seem full of run and joy. Complete.
Best friends for a reason.

Going by a park one hot summer day, woman wolf whistles as I run by and yells: "come on back and party with us."
"you look gaunt"
"So YOU'RE the guy who writes all those hilarious posts on letsrun."
You look good.....for an old guy
Watch out cause that dude is sneaky fast
Some guy in the dining hall line in college asked me if I took "vascular supplements" because my leg veins were popping out. I did not, and still do not know whether such a thing even exists.
One time a really cute puppy started chasing me and then proceeded to try and stop me. When I did stop the puppy put its paws on my legs and I almost stole it.
Probably the best compliment ever.
Two come to mind and make me smile.
As a high schooler, heard from the stands at the TSU relays... "Look at that lil' white boy run!"
As an adult, heard on a local trail, "You are starting to look like that guy in Train Spotting."
