I’m overjoyed with happiness for Melissa and her husband. What a wonderful milestone for their family.

I personally think this is great, and congratulations for her! You can't put off life forever for track and field. Honestly, this isn't the worst time for this to happen. 2018 is an off year for track, and she will be able to get into shape by summer 2019.
This is a good year for an athlete to take time off. No Olympics and No world championships. I like Melissa Bishop. She is one of the few athletes who was brave enough to call out that Caster nonsense.
Her husband's tie game is strong.
How is she the beyonce of Canadian track and field? What does that even mean?

Things that come to mind when I think of Beyonce:
1. married somebody who seems to walk the line between gangster and businessman
2. married a guy with wierd (IMO) style choice
3. Minor wardrobe malfunction
4. strange Vanity Faire photo sessions
5. Annoying nickname
So the OP must mean one of those. Number 2 seems true from the pictures, but I have no idea about the others.
Wonder if she'll do a sit-down on the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Hi Andy
That comparison is an insult to Melissa Bishop.
Why are these offensive threads started?

This is not offensive. This is important running news. It certainly changes the game for competitors like Ajee Wilson, who will face different competition in the DL this year because of MB's absence.

He's married, Karl. Might have to find another one.

I really look up to Beyonce as a style icon and one of the most talented professionals in her industry. Similarly, Melissa Bishop is an iconic 800 runner. She's probably the best woman out there on the track during WC and OG 800s these days. Other than being admired for their amazing performances, Melissa Bishop and Beyonce are both admired for their appearance as well. This isn't a bad thing, and shouldn't be viewed as misogyny.
What exactly is racist about any of these posts???

Yea I didn't see anything racist. There were a few fringe things where of course the person would think they were "just stating facts" when in reality it was mostly stereotypes.
This was a very chill thread. The first thread where people first found out that she was with a black man was really bad. "I would never have sex with her now." "He's just going to leave her after the baby." "She just went from a 10 to a 4." Like if these are the type of things you think about when you see a beautiful white woman with a black guy you're probably racist and don't even realize it
