not bad i guess?
not bad i guess?
He's ridiculously fast.
Impressive. I hope Lickety Split doesn't see this thread.
Would Rupp's image improve if he quit the NOP and joined these guys? Would his running improve?
This whole group is very strong and fast.
Surprised to see how many people they had running these. Counted 15 on some.
Lots of depth.
You do not see that many runners working together at NOP, BTC or others. Maybe Hansons at times.
Good video that shows what it takes. Lots of grind it out offseason work in the cold at altitude.
How fast were the 800s?
1:59-2:15

i don't think so, Rupp can do much better than that
the track is at 6238'
Rupp is sooo overrated. His marathon PR is slower than Bob Kempainen's . Kempainen was in medical school. What does Rupp do all day?
How did this turn into a thread on Rupp? Chelimo & everyone else there blitzed that workout. It was great to see so many people getting after it, showing us what it takes to compete at a high level.

And yet Bob Kempainen have no major win, he have no world or olympic medal
Why he not work hard?
Why he not better?
What he do all day?
He overrated

Kempainen won the 1996 Olympic trials. Placed 2nd at NYC against a stellar field, not watered down like 2017 Chicago. Kempainen never avoided real competition. What he do all day? He was in medical school and never got a TUE like the ruppster.
I guess beating ten sub 206 guys at the olympics is not a big deal. He beat four sub 206guys in Chicago and more than that in Boston. If BK ran all his marathons in the heat like Rupp his pr would be 213. Never mind the track.
Can we seriously stay on the topic that the TC created this thread for? That 9th 800 was stupid fast considering they were supposed to be doing what, 5k pace? But it wasn't like Chelimo was gassed, still was able to negatively split that 10th rep. At this was at 7000 ft of altitude!! Pauly C is fit.
This was like two months ago

Kempainen never had a TUE.
Chelimo's awesome.
come on guys.....that workout is not that impressive for those guys. They are running 800's at or slower than their 5k pace.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
