I don't take seriously anyone who cut's his shoes off, no self-respecting runner does that. As per his beliefs: Quackery, no different than some who believe earth is the center of the universe.

Fellrnr beliefs:
- Tempo runs are useless
- Easy running is useless
- Running 3 or 4 days per week is the best for performance
- Run SMART (Runner's World) training plans are the best thing in the world
- Kinvara is a "maximalist" shoe

I'm clearly in the minority, but I've been having pretty noticeable Achilles, calf, and ankle tightness and/or soreness after wearing the 4%'s, as described in Fellrnr's review

He doesnt' state any of that. Stop twisting the facts.
He states that science does not prove tempo running works.
He states that junk miles can be detrimental.
That HE finds working out 3/4 days to be most effective.
He finds pros and cons in all running plans.
The Kinvara; in it's latest iteration, is indeed maximalist, work it out.
He cuts the toes out, as most shoes are to narrow in the toe-box. FACT.
He consistently poitns out that all models are wrong, and that we are all the experiment of one.
Now go away.
Where's your website and contribution to the science of running? Oh...what? You don't have one....go back to your gaming in the basement.
I have the 4% and have used them since September and the Zoom Fly as well. The 4% feels horrible at anything over 7 min pace. I liken it to running on a plastic water bottle. It doesn’t work until you really start powering through a stride. The Zoom Fly is stiffer but I loved it. It fit like a glove and both shoes run small. I had to size up a 1/2 size. Nonetheless I have had two Achilles surgery in 6 years for debridement and both of these shoes really flared up my foot. The 10mm drop is too much and both shoes feel like your balancing on a small board until you start running. I love them and feel fast in them but they don’t work for me and my Achilles.
If anyone wants them they are size 12 with about 75 miles on the 4% and 90 on the Zoom Fly.
Send me the vaporflys!
You got me. I have contributed very little to the science of running. Those who do not have a website should not be allowed to have an opinion about the opinions of those who do have a website. Makes perfect sense. I see the error of my ways and I will never make the same egregious mistake again. I am humbled.
Thank you, by the way, for assuming I am wealthy enough to have a basement and a gaming console!
This is basically the only post that I consider legitimate because some generous soul actually did some citizen science for us.
I’d sell both pair for 250 which is a darn good deal considering how few miles they have on them.
Thanks but no thanks.
Fill in the blanks.

I’d give you 75 for the vaporflys not a penny more. You won’t get that from anyone else so maybe just keep using them

I'm almost 53 now and have worn nearly every "great" shoe since 1982. I am no Nike shill and haven't worn a Nike shoe for 8 years prior to trying the ZF SP. I don't give a damn about Nike and frankly, my aversion to Nike as a company still makes me reconsider running in the SP. But I can't deny that I run faster in this shoe than any I've worn. I wish it were made by another brand.
I don't believe the plate is cheating. As has been pointed out numerous times, a plate has been put several shoes years before Nike did. All Nike has done is test it a lot, refine it, and package it nicely. They may not work for everyone -- YMMV. But to say wearing these are the same is cheating, like using EPO, is just stupid.
How is the carbon fiber plate any different than the illegal Spira spring = they both propel you forward artificially.
Got a pair because I wanted a racing flat that has higher than normal shock absorbancy...not for the hypothetical speed improvement
Am 62, racing for decades on the track and otherwise...my feet are utterly destroyed. The 4% FAR exceeds my goal of protection/absorbancy AND has enabled my crippled old dogs to do track intervals once again.
Felt great from the very first stride...hell, I'd pay 500 clams for a pair. LOVE them!
How many guys over 160 pounds can wear any of these shoes without injury within a month?
I did a 10 mile progression last night in a pair of my Zoom Flys (6:34, 6:26, 6:20, 6:19, 6:17, 6:12, 6:08, 6:05, 6:01, 5:57)
In my Vaporfly 4% this same run would have been 10-15 seconds per mile faster. Both shoes are awesome!!!! Great support, cushion and the plate is extra. I'm already a forefoot/midfoot runner anyway.
Hey what's the CD - USD exchange rate, I'd really like to know whether I can get a better deal if I bought them in Clams.
Anyone get any sense of how many miles you can put on these things before the foam starts to lose their spring?

I noticed at 75-100 miles less bounce, about the same as the adios.
Thanks. Trying to decide how many times to wear them before Boston in order to break them in and get used to them without losing whatever it is about them that makes them special.

Wait, Smoove has converted from the Adios Boost?! Has the Nike Marketing machine duped you as well?! Or the shoes are actually that good?
I ran a marathon in the 4% and I ran slower than my last four marathons in other brand shoes, with similar or even better fitness level coming into the race. I did however, run faster in a couple workouts going into the marathon, so it may just have been a bad day at the race. But I did not get any noticeable bump from the shoes in the marathon.
