Anyone catch the postrace workout?
No disrespect to distance runner Michael jordan, but Michael jordan is an all time legend. Not even Bekele or Saint pre can hold a candle to him.

Awesome. Actually, I was just looking through some old track results for another talented distance running from Gary (Henry Lee III) and saw that Michael Jordan went to Calumet. Kinda makes you wonder how much raw talent there is hiding in Gary, Indy, and other inner cities where the school systems don't have good support for athletics, especially distance running. I think there are plenty of more Eric Smoot-level talents out there.
I’ve been saying it for three years on these boards that Gary, Indiana is the Iten of the United States.

Is this a joke?
Sammy Wanjiru set about his task with a will, shooting to the front of a field of around 15 men in the Half-Marathon, who hurtled through five kilometres in 13:27.
The third and fourth 5k sections were run in 13:42 and 14:21.
Half-Marathon time = 58:53
“I thought I could win from about 15k, the others seemed to be tiring. I knew the Ethiopian was bluffing when he took the lead.”
Makau, who eventually finished second said, “When there were three of us, Wanjiru and me talked together in our language (Swahili), and said, ‘Come on, let’s drop this guy’,” which they promptly did.
Run Galen Run!
Go Albuterol-Salbutamol-Levoxyl-Carnitine (IV)-Cytomel Salazar!
What a joke.

Exactly! And now they the population is vastly less than it once was, there should be plenty of open space for distance running!

does that make Hal Higdon the Renato Canova of the United States?
Yes. And that makes the USA the Italy of Kenya.

No, because people from Long Beach, Indiana, only drive through Gary, they don't stop and interact with the people.

The only joke is Rupp fans laughing in your face every time he wins. Rupp laughs his way to the bank. The dude makes more $$$ than you do in a 5 year span.

Cudda been on the outdoor Husky Track or on the several nearby campus roads with light traffic, or on the nearby trail on a former railroad. I am sure that a postrace workout happened.
