David Bedford was a Brit who claimed to have ran more than 300 mpw. He said he did 50 x 1 mile and it "took the whole bloody day."
Sometimes a runner can not only fool others with his exploits but himself too. I ran with a guy who said he ran 10 miles in 60 minutes when I know he was probably not capable of doing it in 70 minutes.
Courses are short, watches do not work, breaks are exaggerated...
Never believe the sprint times people say they ran either. If you can run the 200 in 23 seconds you are probably not going to concentrate on the 10K/Marathon at the DII level!!!
