We all know there are going to be long negotiations but here is how it is going to go down:
- Dreamers are allowed to stay, will get path to green card and citizenship further down the road (10 years)
- end to chain migration (so that dreamers can't sponsor their parents)
- end to visa lottery
- slightly increased funds for border "wall" (really a fence for the most part)
Sounds fair to me.

This plus count the illegals against the current immigration quotas. I would also debate if citizenship should be an option. But over all pretty fair.

They will pay for it, one way or another. Mexico has a giant trade surplus with the US. That is not fair. Basically, they are taking money from us. Has to end. Trump will increase tariffs. Also, by having less of a drug epidemic, that wall will basically pay for itself.
Trade war with Mexico could be interesting.
Mexico imports lots of corn, for example, which is central to their culture. After NAFTA, big corporate farmers underpriced Mexican corn, which is grown on a much smaller scale (more of a subsistence-level farming). Those farmers got put out of business -- guess where they went to find work? That's right, NOTB (North of the Border). Hopefully the Trump Tariffs will put big corn out of business, hell, we subsidize the crap out of it anyway. Then the good, hardworking Mexican farmers can finally grow corn again.
Funny how that stuff works out sometimes.
There will be a deal, then Courts will decide that half of it is unconstitutional, etc.

First off, a trade surplus doesn’t mean you are taking money from another country.
Second, tariffs hurt the country imposing the tariff as the price of the good goes up.
The ignorance and lack of education in America is unbearable. This is why I never leave the house other than to make money.

A Fee will be charged to each person in USA sending money to Family and Friends in Mexico (Remittance), so people sending money to Mexico will pay for the wall in the long term.

Here are the Remittance page, so lets say you send $200 to Mexico by Western Union, you have to pay Western Union a $8 transaction fee, so they could add a for example $20 fee to the US Government which would go to building the wall.
