The NFL management are also caught up in this delusion and are taking every action to continue to decrease NFL ratings. Good luck with that.
I'm certainly not defending NFL management, but read an article recently that dismissed the notion that flag protests are negatively effecting ratings. In essence, all TV viewership is down considerably, but the NFL still had 37 of the top 50 watched shows this fall. In other words, it is still the top dog when it comes to TV.

You mean about all the brain dead ex nfl players who either live the rest of their life with severe mental illnesses or just commit suicide to end it all?
Why would I watch a sport with those consequences?

This kind of information requires thinking things through. The butthurt yahoo's who want to believe they are part of some viable "action" aren't capable of this kind of thinking.
Do you have any multivariate analysis of the statistical evidence that shows likely causal relationships for all of your claims? You can call me delusional, but there's this pesky little idea that correlation does not prove causation. So often these claims about "systemic racism"are made, but in the words of Thomas Sowell, "no evidence is ask for or given."
Additionally, BLM is relevant because this was the exact reason given by Colin Kapernik when her first knelt during the anthem. The players are kneeling because of all of the misleading propaganda of BLM. Like I said before, there were some incidence of truly awful police behavior, but this does not prove systemic racism or that we as a country are not trying to live up to our ideals of equal protection under the laws.

You read an article that spoon feed you what to think about the causal reason for declining ratings of NFL. Did the article take into account polling data where people gave their reasons for not watching the NFL this year? Or did the article just dismiss that bit of data and then dismiss the notion that this data had anything to do with the decline in ratings?
Of course there could be other reasons that play a role in the declining viewership, but establishing the full causal relationship require multivariate analysis of all possible factors. You can't just toss out possible factors and then conclude the remaining factors are your cause. But I guess trying to recognize multiple causal factors is best left to us yahoos who like to think for ourselves, instead of sitting back and letting an article tell us what to think.
kneel, stand, sit, hop up and down on one leg...it makes no difference at all so why not let them run the ad.
too much importance been given to something so insignificant.

Aren't police first responders?
Well I will say this, the ad has probably gotten more attention for being rejected than if it had aired.

As I understand it, the NFL is a private outfit and can accept or reject any ads for any reason.
Kind of like letsrun.com.
True, and we are all free to criticize or praise it and people are free to decide if they want to watch NFL games.
Really curious what the ratings will be like for the Super Bowl.
I don’t understand what the NFL has to do with this anyhow. Fox or NBC or whichever network it’s on this year owns and sells air time and advertising.

Thanks for making my point. The yahoos state "kneel > declining ratings" when the cause of declining ratings is multifaceted.
If you wish to consider yourself a yahoo, feel free to do so.

Lol, I'm sure you were just looking for a reason not to watch the Super Bowl.
Also, well done, rojo, trolling your own message board now, I see.
The poster you first responded to said " read an article recently that dismissed the notion that flag protests are negatively effecting ratings." Which implied that kneeling had nothing to do with declining ratings. My post was largely in response to this idea (kneeling has no affect on ratings), and only partly in response to you also dismissing the possibility of multiple causes for declining ratings, as demonstrated by you labeling such considerations as the ideas of "yahoos."
Obviously, you don't closely read the posts you reply to. You probably will not take the time to comprehend the 3rd sentence in this post because it is rather long and contained more than one single idea. I could take the time to try to rewrite it in simpler and shorter sentences, but why should I waste my time? If you aren't going to try to understand what others are saying, please stop wasting your time as well.
This is truly a tragic situation I will kneel during the Anthem out of protest for you choosing not to watch the game out of protest.

You haven't seen any protests on TV recently have you? That's because the NFL won't televise the Anthem any more. The fact is controversy that is basically unrelated to the NFL football game is anathema to the billionaires who run the league. So the league will neither televise the protests, nor give ad space to counter-protests. It's all about the money. Remember, this is a league that spent hundreds of millions of hush money to successfully stifle the concussion controversy.
(although I do think there will be an singing of the Anthem at the Super Bowl - but if there are any protesters on either team, I bet they won't be shown on TV)
