Like Trump one liners, most of the haters have some vague "I hate CA because .." with just an opinion and no facts. Lots have given solid reasons to like it and dislike it, but the true haters have got nothing of substance. That is because they have no critical thinking ability to discern positives AND negatives. They only understand a gut feel that their need to express. It only makes them sound ignorant, but they fail to realize that because they are ignorant.
Grew up in WA, attended the finest U in the country in CA, stayed.
"If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere" was written about NYNY but applies to CA in general and SF in particular.
Everything these dopey haters hate about CA and Californians, we love.
EAT YOURS HEARTS OUT.

“Valley, $6 billion budget surplus (but that is if you ignore the tens of billions in unfunded public employee pension and healthcare obligations)“
Right in the middle of a really good post, and a decent list of Pros, you see a huge Yuge Con.
At what cost will liberals kill something good.
Heck they’d communistically murder a baby seal if it felt good.
Repeat after me, kiddos, at what cost
At any cost
They dont care
In CA tomorrow as you pat Little Johnny on the back as he goes to a California PubLick Pub-lack
They dont care about Johnny, mate.
Ya hear me
Again with a bunch of opinion not backed up by any facts or even objective criticism. Questions for you: At what cost does the "conservative" give to the already prospering wealthy with no strings attached? The answer is $1.5T borrowed from our kids and grand kids. At what cost do they remove regulation? The answer is the water we drink and the food we eat (Plastics, heavy metals and oil in the food chain). Even the land we live on is more in danger due to ignoring climate change. CA is a forward thinking place. It is why businesses want to be here. Quotes such as below are backward thinking or not thinking at all.

Hi,
I work as a forester. i live at 6000 ft 8-9 months out of the year. My housing is free. The snow is only 2 inches deep where I am (thanks to you crazzyyy conservatives) so i am nonetheless enjoying the unseasonably warm temps as it remains nice training weather. California is life baby, just take one hit man ;)
See what he did there?
He didn’t address the Unfunded Liabilities.
California will turn into Detroit. Period.
Liberal are not even eloquent. Diana Finestein “I had a cold, so I leaked court documents.”
They speak but say nothing.
And lookie here tough guy.
Ever heard of East Angelia climate scandal?
https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/environment/item/6748-ipcc-researchers-admit-global-warming-fraudAnd I have more.
I’d love to see you debate Thomas Sowell.
People outside of CA don't know this but UC Berkeley, San Jose St, Stanford, UC Davis, SF State, Cal Poly SLO, etc are L.A. schools given most of the students, faculty, researches, and $B of alumni dollars come from the So Cal Area.
THUS You can't split CA realistically because the So Cal power base and population base now dominates Frisco, Silicon Valley, Dago, Moreno Valley, Montery, Salinas, I-15 Corridor, Berkeley/Oakland, Easy Bay, NSM Wine Country, Santa Rosa, Redding, and the state house in Sacramento.
I.E. after the 1992 L.A.P.D. Uprising the L.A. people left in droves and sealed their takeover of Nor Cal, Sac, and the Hinter Lands of Eureka/Redding.
CA is now one big effin Los Angeles SPRAWL.

The armpit of civilization is Russia, everyone agrees. Russians are disgusting subhumans with no honor or moral compass. California, on the other hand, is a paradise—even if it’s full of textbook leftists.
Whoa. Shots fired. You jealous that Putin Annexed Crimea and got away with it?
The poor and ugly stay out or can’t afford it. Everything people talk about can be had in California but you have to be a go getter. Typical LRC haters talk a big game behind their chrome books.
If Jamin can’t find a woman in Seattle - he’s got a negative zero shot in Cali. Competition is tough here for everything. So many people talked ish about DT running for Peru but the same people couldn’t even hack living in Cali, let alone compete for an Olympic team.
Living in California is like qualifying for the Olympic Trials. Not everyone can make the standard. Sorry losers!

If Californians are so smart, how come they havent come up with a solution to climate change?
Where does Thomas Sowell live?

Do you drive a car? Do you use electricity? Ever ordered anything from Amazon? Eaten at Taco Bell after your late nite munchies kick in?
If youve done any of those things, youve contributed to climate change as well.

Care to elaborate? No response will mean that you don't have a good argument. A short response will be inadequate. A long response might get considered, but will depend on your eloquence.
lklklklk, what is your proposed policy for reversing the negative effects of climate change?
What is your solution to population growth and consumption?

Ordering a Nacho Bel Grande does not equal withdrawing from the Paris Agreement.
My inability to solve the global climate crisis with a single post on the internet does not make your post 1% less stupid.
Long enough for ya?

Perfect. Thank you for continuing the conversation. I truly agree with you on the science, that climate change is real and exacerbated by humans. Where we may disagree is what to do about it. Thats why I was curious about your opinion on policy.
Anyone who thinks the paris agreement is a good idea is hypocritical.
