The young man Is a indoor and outdoor NCAA 200m champion and you say h we have no endurance for the 60/100m? Funny!
Compared to the others that have run similar times, yes. That's what I'm saying. If he had even average closing speed he would have won worlds in the 100 last year.

~3.88 seconds for the 40yd dash
Question for sprint experts. If this 3.88 translation is accurate, what would the fastest NFL guys do on a similar track? Guys are running sub 4.3 now without blocks. What would Coleman run in an NFL combine style 40?
Depends on when the timers press their fat, greasy thumbs on the watch.
Mickey Mouse meet means Mickey Mouse track surface and competition. Just think when he runs against the big boys on a much faster track.
I see Dix destroyed Hyman.

And Cherry too on closer scrutiny.
Might as well legalize PEDs. The former WR holder had help from “ Memo”. I can imagine Nike was behind this enhanced performance.

NFL combine 40 is not hand timed.

Actually, hand timing (either for both start and finish,, or just for the start) plays a significant role in the numbers generated at the NFL combine. The full (and complicated) answer:
"Here is what happens to get the 40 times at the Combine . . .
--Those who participate in the 40 actually run twice, and on each run they are timed by two hand-held stopwatches and one electronic timer (that is actually initiated by hand on the player's first movement).
--Combine data put together for NFL teams by National Scouting includes all six of those times for each player, but no single official time.
Team scouts and coaches have various approaches for reaching agreement on a 40 time they use from those six timings. Some use averages. Some throw out slowest and fastest and then average the rest. Some ignore the whole thing and use a time taken by their own scout."

I believe it's an odd system involving starting the clock by hand when the athlete is seen by eye to move... And then using a light gate to electronically stop the clock.
Nice and accurate
cc has got that the 33
number that the elites love to love.
which one is backing him , loaded to the gills
like the last record holder
tests dont matter when wont test for it .
You're funny! The kid is 21 years old and the only guys who ran him down at Worlds are legends of the sport who hadn't run a full indoor AND outdoor season like he had. And only one of those guys actually BEAT him to the line. You must be a distance runner posing here as "sprinter guy," cuz it's obvious you know zilch about the sprints.
You have a vivid imagination ... whacked out and wrong, but vivid nonetheless. LOL!

If only it were as simple as you are.
idiot
with 19.85s endurance, faster than legend mo greene, Coleman has plenty of endurance to hold on from 60 - 100

Don't post on threads about sprinting. You think the 100m is an aerobic event
idiot
you know nothing about sprinting & aerobic component
learn to think : if a 10.00 guy is asked to run a 100m in 100% nitrogen atmosphere pressurised to 760mm Hg, do you think his clocking will be 10.00 ???
Calculo, you've returned to form. Good to have you back.

Well he'd die if not returned to oxygen soon after crossing the finish line.
What part of "don't need to breathe" do you not understand?
Have you heard of the term 'oxygen debt'? You can breathe later in 100m running. Or do you think it's impossible to hold one's breath for 9.8 seconds?
What events did you exit? Elite 100m sprinters take 3-4 breaths during a race. Metabolism is alactic the first 6-8 seconds then transitions into lactic.
Say what, Bro? wrote:

Linford Christie never used to take a breath. Some elite sprinters take one or two but the air inhaled does not contribute to aerobic respiration during the race. There is negligible aerobic component in the 100m and so altitude is nothing but beneficial to the 100m.
Like Bolt , soon he will be posing for photos with one of his eyes covered
or taking the piss out of bible with putting "i am " somewhere in his name.
he is the replacement ,
what amount of roids did it take for green to run such time and none
really close for a long while , i think you know the answer .
