And, doing some maths and taking his past race patterns into account, I would give Coleman a 9.81 for 100 meters right now in still wind. And it's January. Absurd stuff.

unfortunately, even though guy will go 6.32/6.33 in/by trials, there is is 0 chance of WR
he woud need to be p!ss/blood tested damn quick
back in '06, guy set walk record but had to run to find a lab to take blood/p!ss

Coleman's camp won't have thought about this
neither that he needs an official RT from blocks of races of 60 - 400
if we get an RT, then, just possibly he is whisked away to nearest WADA lab for blood/p!ss test...

no
6.37 = 9.74
assuming some semblance of endurance
he has truck-loads
9.74-basic
9.64 with 2.0m/s
Check this out. After Coleman ran 6.47 in the prelims, he predicted that he would set a WR in a group chat with his friends:
6.37 is nice but has the guy every run a marathon?
60m WR

I wanna see a sub-10.00 100 in a trucker cap, huge beard with two hand-held bottles
Not so fast...
Coleman's speed endurance isn't bad, but when you compare him to the others that have gone 9.74 or faster or so, he's clearly lacking. Bolt, Gay, and Blake all held speed at their peaks far better. Even Powell to an extent. Honestly that start looks like what a 9.6x start should look like but he's got some work to do on the back end.

This isn't anything new with him. He is great in the first 60m, but falls off big time in the last 40m, which is why he lost USAs and WC.

If only it were as simple as you are.
That's lacking probably due to his height.

~3.88 seconds for the 40yd dash
Question for sprint experts. If this 3.88 translation is accurate, what would the fastest NFL guys do on a similar track? Guys are running sub 4.3 now without blocks. What would Coleman run in an NFL combine style 40?

Don't post on threads about sprinting. You think the 100m is an aerobic event.
Coleman is running 9.70 or faster this year. Solid run.
He does have the ability to hold his top speed fairly well. Conditions weren't great in London and he held off Bolt who has remarkable late race speed.

Exactly what I was thinking!
The young man Is a indoor and outdoor NCAA 200m champion and you say h we have no endurance for the 60/100m? Funny!
