Honestly, I don’t see why more American pros don’t do this. Get the chance to race fit Australians as you build base instead of winning meaningless slow indoor meets here in the icebox Northeast. Train in warmer conditions to prepare for summer track. This seems like an awesome plan to me. Sure, it’s not a victory for American fans. But if it makes us more competitive globally, I say go for it.
