A powerpoint presentation on the matter is the obvious way to go.

Why would you even agree to the date if working on a powerpoint is more interesting than the girl? Stop being a flake

What is online dating even like? I don't mean this as a out down or as if I don't think it's a great idea, but I've never felt like finding dates isn't hard to do in real life. And I'm not some super rich guy with a chisled bod or something. There's always some potentials that I haven't asked yet, because I'm dating someone already or feel like being single at the time, and new potentials enter the scene every day. It's not like I'm stuck with knowing no one and having no clue what to do. Is it just a convenience sort of thing? Or is it because you just moved to a new city? I guess I could see moving somewhere new making is seem like an option at first.
I think it's also good for people who...
1. Don't have a wide social network/Network doesn't include women
2. Don't like to tap into their network because they think it's weird to date a buddy's sister or a coworker or something that might upset the current social balance
Don't leave us hanging, OP - what did you do?

I decided that a person in my social class could not give up any chance to mingle with a female. This drove my decision to ignore the work requirement and go on the date. The date, while not ideal, did prove to be enjoyable and I was able to seal the deal (if you know what I mean). If she is not pregnant I am not sure if I will see her again provided that I did not leave her with child. Work, on the other hand, has taken a decidedly downward turn. The fact that I ignored the work request of my supervisor led to my employment termination. Losing the job leaves me unable to afford my apartment so I am now homeless. I think heroin is the next step.

Cool story. I hope Jamin comes back on here and tells us what he really did.

Is there any polite way to cancel?
My suspicions tell me, the dimwit's date beat him to the punch.
Tell her the truth and make it up to her. Do something extra nice.
