In my opinionTrack and field news is silly To get rid of its physical content. Besides it clearly isn't saving that much money if they are having to increase the cost anyways.
They might as well make it more expensive and offer a premium service.
Track and fields news competitive advantage is not the content it puts out, other companies already have more timely, easier to access, better information. The value of the magazine is the ease of consumption of the product.
You can pick up the magazine on the toilet when you want a break from your phone, you can gift it to a friend, especially a child, you can have it in offices and businesses for free marketing.
I think in marketing costs alone having a physical magazine would be worth it. They basically just turned themselves into a premium letsrun with less features.
