But he did get the age 43 record which was 1:03:12

He did also beat the age 43 best with his 10k split of 28:43 (old record 29:00) , 15k with 43:32 (old record was 45:12 - actually, master record is 44:14, so he beat that too, but Geb was surely faster than that when he ran 1:01:09) and 20k with 58:40 (old record was 1:04:19 - master record also 1:01:37, but...)

Unless of course Hasay had got the record correct? It would have been OK for her to run around with the flag. Maybe Alberto would have stripped it off of her because she didn’t run fast enough and sent her off for another 13.1 tempo with 10x200 to finish the day.

I didn't realize this started at 8 and jumped in the broadcast at 9:15. I just decided to read this thread rather than see the results. From what you guys are talking about, it seems like reading the thread was better than actually watching the race.

Watching the live marathon feed without sound. This guy from Chestnut Hill needs to get behind the pacers and out of the way.

according to mastersathletics.net bernie lagat smashed john campbells (nzl) all time best (62:28). geb ran this in vienna at 39 years of age, very close to 40.

US mark then yeah? Whatever list I glanced at showed 1:02:28 for the WR

Bernard already co held the US master record which was1:03:02, so he did beat that.

Awesome to see Molly run so well. I like her as a runner and as a person so much better than Hasay. No one should like seeing someone coached by Salazar win anything.
