IMO runners don't lift enough and lifters don't run enough
They are the two best forms of exercise IMO

Any lifting is too much lifting. It's a wretched way to spend time.

youre funny lmao
"Enough" for what?
That's enough out of you.
many martial artists do an equal amount of both. same with 400/800 runners who run 40+ mpw and lift 3-4x a week. smh.
terrible troll attempt

For optimum fitness/health. Many bodybuilders don't run at all. Many cross country runners don't lift at all.
There is no reason to run except for sport. For the purpose of maximizing one's health and well-being, weight training is all that is necessary.
I lift for my body; I run for my soul.
If you want to lift, lift yourself up a hill. I stopped doing isometrics in the mirror when i reached 100kg, it was easy and useless.

Running for health (Cardio) is important (or swimming, biking, etc.).
Weights alone is not enough for the heart and lungs.
Running alone is not enough for the musculoskeletal system.
Do both—problem solved.

Lifting make you slow , fast running makes you fast.

I am not aware of any science showing that running is superior to ideally performed strength training for cardiovascular health. Ideally performed weight training works your heart and lungs as hard as you could ever want to work them. Aerobic effect is not that important in the first place.
And runners that lift don't know how to lift properly...
